California vs Alaska - I hate cold weather, but the freedom of Alaska is appealing. I think the thought of living in the nanny state of CA makes me shiver more than the cold weather...
Hawaii vs North Carolina - I don't want to be stuck out in the middle of the ocean
New York vs Washington - NY away from the cities is very pleasant
Pennsylvania vs Colorado - I'd love to check out western and southern Colorado
Texas vs Massachusetts - easy choice
Ohio vs Michigan - I love Cincinnati and southern Ohio
Florida vs Arizona - my home state. I prefer the greenery and humidity
I wonder whether there's some geographic tie to the votes on three of these pairs:
Pennsylvania vs. Colorado
Texas vs. Massachusetts
Oregon vs. New Jersey
I can't say for sure, but it seems that people who either live in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions or prefer that part of the country to others are voting for the three Northeastern states while everyone else is voting the opposite way.
I am totally with you. I am confused as well, but maybe because Arizona doesn't have the humidity though? Florida is still ahead.
"Yes, but it's a dry heat."
I can't see how that makes 112F at midday more bearable than 90F, tropical humidity, and ocean breezes close at hand.
