Mitch the Tortoise is sabotaging his own party with defeatist rhetoric. All because he is a Never-Trumper. It's time to remove the old guard republicrats and get some fresh blood in there that will fight for this country and not for corporate interests and woke ideologies.

You mean the new blood Fascist Republican Trumpers, not the mainstream Republicans that actually believe in elections and democracy. Got it.
Lol. Demings and Crist aren’t winning anything against Rubio and DeSantis.
Crist was Governor from 2007 to 2011 when I lived there. As such he is not an unknown, and has a record to run on. Should be an interesting race to watch.
BTW, Crist is originally from PA, but then according to statistics 66% of Florida's population aren't native Floridians. Former Governor, now Senator, Rick Scott is originally from IL.
In normal times, an inept, weak President like Biden would lead to massive midterm gains. But with the election deniers, Jan 6 defenders, and never mind abortion, votes against contraception, the GOP risks seriously underperforming the circumstances.
The Maryland Governor's race is the 1st casualty, but won't be the last. Somewhere, somehow GOP strategists need to cool the crazy that could derail what should be a huge midterm win for them.
No man can predict the future. All predictions of election results are simply conjecture.
The GOP is dead with the Roe decision, and what bad timing for it!
I doubt that. Anyway we need a GOP or at least a party with a small government ideology to counter the big government forces. We don't have that now, of course. The GOP is out in the wilderness somewhere and the only ideology they have is "whatever HE wants".
He also just put himself on record as being for abortion bans with no exceptions for rape and incest and refused to say he wouldn't support federal bans on abortion. Will only say the votes aren't there to do that.
People who want to keep it that way will vote him out imo and those votes could also close the gap between Crist and DeSantis.

Candidates and Committees will often do that to get more $$. I am certainly no fan of Rubio, dislike DeSantis even more and would love to see them both lost, but that is extremely unlikely.

I certainly can't stand McConnell (likely for very different reasons than you), but he sees the type of candidates coming out of primaries that have cost the GOP Senate seats during the Obama years (O'Donnell, Akin, Angle, Mourdock)

Sad, but likely true.
