We only moved there for work. They might not miss me but might miss my Republican husband. Same in PA. But you could say we cancel each other out. Lol
Btw, I don't like Doctors period whatever party they belong to;Dr. Oz or Dr. Fauci.

That is not what happened. It's still a very Republican state. You had 2 Republicans and 1 Democrat and the 2 Republicans split the vote and the Democrat barely won. That's like Bernie Sanders, Biden and Trump in the same election. Democrats will split and Trump wins.

It wasn't about Gun Control or Roe since both Republicans agree and are pro Trump. Add that Peltola is pro choice but against Gun Control so her short time in congress she won't be joining the Democrats on their liberal agenda of spending or any gun control and the Democrat is for drilling in Alaska.

It wasn't about liberal issues but personal between Palin and the Alaska GOP party which endorsed Begich. Both agree on over 95%. Palin left bad blood in the state's party when she left.

It has nothing to do with Trump since the Alaska GOP party supports over 95% Trump's policies and they censored Murkowski for voting to impeach Trump just like Wyoming censored Liz Cheney before they gave her the boot.

If you going to write about a topic get inform. TDS make people see things that aren't there.

Trafalgar has been argued that they think that the Democrats are not enthusiastic about the midterms. As I've said previously, most years I would agree. The issue is unless the economy truly goes into the toilet and not slows down, the Democrats have a huge issue to run on, abortion. Add in that Republican candidates are scrubbing their websites about harsh abortion stances they held in the primary to try and course-correct (which remember, in the day in the age of gotcha screengrabbing is just plain stupid and out-of-touch) and you have a pissed off electorate of women. Plus add in the horror stories of forced pregnancy by death panels and it is not looking as good for Republicans. The data points that help that is the Republican loses in direct races like New York and Alaska.

You keep bringing up the Republicans split the vote thing. You can use that argument on why Peltola led after the first round of voting. However, that doesn't explain why after Begich was eliminated and the Ranked Choice Voting was applied, Peltola still won.

Almost every poll we see from now on will be based on likely voter models developed in past elections. The question is whether Dobbs changes that model in ways we have never seen before. A fifty year old constitutional right has been taken from American women. By all accounts, they are registering to vote and make their angry voices heard in large numbers particularly in swing states where choice is clearly on the ballot like WI, PA, MI. So, any polling has to be viewed through that lens this time.

Because 30% of Republican Begich voters didn't pick Palin a 2nd choice in the weird Alaska voting laws. It has NOTHING to do with issues or Roe or Gun Control or anything since both Palin and Begich are the same on issues. Many Alaska Republican voters don't want Palin back because when she left years ago she left bad blood with the GOP Alaska party who supported Begich.

We won't know how deep the divide until 2 months from now for the general when more Alaskans vote since only half of the general electorate voted on the special election.

It was made up law. NO country in the world that has legal abortion has it on their constitution, it's by Democratic procress. The S.C. didn't take anything away, they gave it back to the people of the states to decide by state democracy. Why should WI, PA or MI be angry if is legal by the state? Democrats grasping at straws.

The fact is the right was there and now it's gone and Republicans are on the wrong side of an issue that may significantly change the electorate this November.
