I think those under-30 GOP types are the future Reverend Ted's of the world.

Did you hear the Howard Stearn interviews? Really, nuff said.........he played interviews of black people where they stated McCain's issues as being Obama's, even said "what do you think of Obama's vice presidential pick, in Sarah Palin?" And they all just nodded their heads and agreed. They don't know any of the issues yet they are going to vote for Obama! This is scary in my opinion. At least know this issues, before you vote. That is all I ask.

You are extremely judgemental. ok, so young people are inexperienced, idealistic and naive. Well, older people are rigid, stubborn, stuck in the past and bitter.
Are we done throwing out all the ridiculous stereotypes now?
I've probably lived in more places in one year than you have your entire life, I don't live in a bubble (I couldn't even count how many people I know or have known under the age of 25... thousands) AND btw, I've always known that the majority of young people are extremely ignorant and naive even when I was 11 - especially when it comes to the above mentioned real world operations (economics, business operation, etc). While girls were playing with their dolls, I was reading about the 1st Iraq war, even in college, these same kids were more interested in $2 pitcher night than topics that would effect them when they graduated. It's really quiet comical really, when anyone would defend young people as having a clue when voter turn out amongst them is the lowest of all age brackets. Young people are never as smart as they think they are. Never. They don't know enough to know what they don't know. A stereotype isn't a stereotype if it's true. It's unfortunate. Now let me clarify, I like young people, I just don't like the fact that most of them are... clueless... but that's not entirely their fault so I don't hold it against them. Oh, forgot to add, I currently live in L.A. County.

I'm under 30 and a republican...please tell me why I'm not a trustable person being put under that type. I would also like a sound definition from those who say they are democrat.

I dunno, but I'd like to see it in context. My wife emailed it to me (ha, ha,...she's in the next room, and she emails me!). I too wanna know exactly what it means, but I guess I'll have to buy the book (not going to do it).

Well, I'm sorry. If they support Obama, they must be idiots.

At the very least, they have no clue what he stands for, and do not have knowledge of American history and what this country is about. Because we aren't socialists, and I doubt most people want to throw away our freedom for a socialist government.

the way it usually breaks down is this...

when you are young you tend to be more liberal and vote emotionally

as you get older and have more life experience you realize that things your folks told you are really true .

later you realize that your whacky old grumpy grandpa had some seriously valid points when he told you things you dismissed as a child as being stiff or rigid thinking.

the older you get the more conservative you become

this is of course , if you have any native intelligence at all

some people never mentally mature

So I ask this to you, lets just say you are a straight A student. Your roommate is not. They have a 2.0. Due to partying, lack of caring etc. The dean calls you into his office and says, "I know you've studied your butt off to get the grades you do, but we base our school on spreading the wealth, and the wealth of our students is their GPA, your roommate needs a point higher in their GPA, so to make things fair I'm going to take a point from you to give to your friend so we are all equal" I doubt that is going to sit well with you considering things you have given up to maintain that wonderful GPA. How is it fair to expect hard working people to pay for someone who does just enough to get by, just to have everyone else pay for them doing nothing?
