Well, I'm sorry. If they support Obama, they must be idiots.
At the very least, they have no clue what he stands for, and do not have knowledge of American history and what this country is about. Because we aren't socialists, and I doubt most people want to throw away our freedom for a socialist government.

So I ask this to you, lets just say you are a straight A student. Your roommate is not. They have a 2.0. Due to partying, lack of caring etc. The dean calls you into his office and says, "I know you've studied your butt off to get the grades you do, but we base our school on spreading the wealth, and the wealth of our students is their GPA, your roommate needs a point higher in their GPA, so to make things fair I'm going to take a point from you to give to your friend so we are all equal" I doubt that is going to sit well with you considering things you have given up to maintain that wonderful GPA. How is it fair to expect hard working people to pay for someone who does just enough to get by, just to have everyone else pay for them doing nothing?

Look, I'm not some fanatic Obama supporter. I just hate it when party cheerleaders call supporters of the other candidate idiots. It just makes you look stupid, becuase how do you know exactly what's going to happen in the next 4 years.

Obama is a Marxist/Socialist. He is a racist, who believes in "black liberation theology, and spent 20 years listening to his Pastor, Jeremiah Wright, preaching hatred toward America, and whites. If he wasn't in agreement with Wright, why did he continue to not only attend that church, he supported it with his dollars, and he also obtained grant money (US taxpayer dollars) for that church through an affiliate of ACORN.
Obama has said that he wants to "spread the wealth around". Do you know what that means? It means that he sees nothing wrong with confiscatory taxation of those who "earn" and "produce" and taking their money and giving it to those who did not earn it, nor do they produce anything.
This is socialism. And that only scratches the surface of who this guy is.
America is about freedom. Freedom to innovate, create wealth for one's self, and one's family, to make a better life.
Capitalism is what made us the richest, and greatest country in the world, with the highest standard of living. Why else do so many people desire to come here, even illegally? It is because they want what we have. Freedom, and a system where one can become whatever they dream to become to the extent that their intelligence and their drive will take them.
Obama sees this as greed. He seeks to punish the "rich", the very people that are providing jobs for others. Have you ever asked how many jobs someone like Bill Gates has provided for others, and how many people he has raised out of the "middle class"? Bill Gates (who never finished High School, I have read) started Microsoft in his garage. He is an example of someone who has lived the American dream.
Do you want to throw all that away?
Fine. Then vote for Obama. Let the government dictate how much you can earn, how much electricity you can use, what kind of car you can drive, how large a home you can have, what your health care needs are, and what you are allowed to say (thought police and the so-called "fairness doctrine")

They need to look beyond the gay issue and their anger at the religious right, and think about issues like taxes, jobs, energy, and national security that will affect them. Obama's plan will raise taxes on people making as low as $42,000/yr, kill jobs as small businesses will go under, he is against clean coal and nuclear, increase the already monstrous national budget, and is weak on national security almost to the point he could be considered a terrorist sympathizer. Yet nearly 8 out of 10 young people are lining up like sheep to vote for him. This isn't elementary school where everyone is a winner or little league soccer where everybody gets the same trophy so nobody's "feelings are hurt". This is the real world, and this generation needs to step into it.
My kids are young adults and they just wanted me to say the feeling of disgust and disdain is mutual.
