Guess who those losers are going for?
If they get their lazy butts out of bed or off the booze in time to vote.
Look at the lines on TV, all of us can see who is working and who is NOT.
Hmm, I'm 37, a democrat, think for myself, don't expect handouts, take responsibility for my actions. Oh, but I DID sleep in this morning & last weekend I passed out in bed from my booze-up w/wine. Damn did I have fun & I'm not even one of those young losers you're whining about! Sounds like someone's a crank, maybe you should start in on some of that boozing you like to refer to, loosen ya up a little

as am i here...33 finishing up a Masters in Education and I voted Obama. It was a no brainer.
I'm also a new teacher, clearly having gone into this field so I can get filthy rich on my 40K a year salary over the next 5 years.

Congrats on your Masters. I'm sure it will be a good fit in Obama's educational system.

Did you bother to check anything beyond what the news tells you? I did (which is amazing, because according to you I was passed out drunk in bed every night). You can claim laziness is related to age, but look at what your generation has done to this country. Guess who is left with this mess? I am, my peers, my generation. Thanks for that, smd1998. There are lazy people of every age, so instead of bashing millions of young people, lets try to figure out a way to make America a respectable and functioning country again.
Not many people know McKinney, good for you. I love the under 30s. For the most part, they're savvy, informed and yes- they better be, because they're inheriting a mess.

I have alot of friends born in '83 who realize the potential of having socialism is a very bad idea. People need to be a little careful in how much their emotions get the best of them in the point they are trying to make.
To bear witness to this phenomenon you just articulated, watch an episode of "Barney", or anything else on PBS. Everything ends in a tie. It's socialism in a nice big purple costume.

All I see is a lot of hatred and yelling. Many of you on here act like your childrens age! Look at the way you all rant and rave, no matter who your candidate.

Most of you will not know how to cope with yourselves if McCain doesn't win, but we will see who is the Bigger person and who can still move on with their lives...younger voters.

I do not get on here to have a screaming match with some of you like most of the "adults" on here do!

And then again some of you were just like us at this age! Do Not forget where you came from because there are many of you who have made mistakes in your life! NO ONE IS PERFECT! get over yourselves....

There you have it... Obama is president. Nothing you can do.
Get over it and stop crying.

That's all I have to say about that.

Actually, I get news from many sources, and only watch a couple of hours (if that) of Fox News every day. Various Internet sources have been reporting on who Obama is for at least the last year, because the so-called "main stream" press won't do it. I don't remember who first reported about the radical "black liberation" church he attended for 20 years and obtained the audio clips of Jeremiah Wright damning America. It was early in the campaign, and Hillary was still in it, and at the time she was ahead of Obama in the polls. I believe it was her campaign that turned up the audio of Jeremiah Wright.

The point is, this isn't something that has just been uncovered at the end of the campaign.

Do you not think that the political ideology of one who is running for President of the United States, and asking for our vote is important to know? I'd like to have assurance that that person believes in liberty, and will defend my right to property, and other rights as defined in our founding documents. I'd like to know that the person I'm voting for will defend the Constitution, and that that document means as much to him as it does to me.

We have no such assurances with Obama. In fact, we find that he does not share these ideals. Further, we find that he believes the Constitution is a "flawed document". Those are his words. He does not believe in the idea of "limited government". On the contrary, he believes that government should play a larger roll in our lives.

His associations with people like William Ayers (and these were really close relationships; Ayers was not "just some guy in the neighborhood"), a domestic terrorist are indeed important. Why? Because they tell us who Obama is. Obama worked with Ayers to promote socialist ideas in schools.

These things are not lies. They are all well documented facts about Obama. It is important to know these things if we are to vote from an informed position, and not just following some warm fuzzy feeling we may have.

Freedom is a precious thing. We could too easily lose it if we do not know whom we are voting for.

It's not that I see Obama in a "certain way". It is that Obama is who he is. He is a Socialist, who has studied (and admires) Karl Marx. His ideas for "change" in America are socialist to the core. Obama simply does not believe in the ideas of liberty. He believes in government. He believes that government should play a larger roll in our lives. This is diametrically opposed to what our founders believed.

Sometimes wars have to be fought to defend our liberty. That is why the war is being fought. And it is important that we win.

We have been headed in the right direction. Lower taxes are the "right direction". Defending liberty is the "right direction". Limited government is the "right direction" (and one of our founding ideas as spelled out in the Constitution which Obama says is "flawed"). Energy independence and promoting the growth of our own oil and gas industries (and coal) is the "right direction"
  • Bankrupting an entire industry (coal, as Obama has said) is the WRONG DIRECTION.
  • Confiscatory taxation and transfer of wealth is the WRONG DIRECTION.
  • Government telling us what kind of light bulbs we can use and how much electricity we may use is the WRONG DIRECTION.
  • Government provided health care is the WRONG DIRECTION
  • Dismantling of our military and ending further research and development of our weapons systems is the WRONG DIRECTION (Governments primary purpose, according to the Constitution is to provide for the common defense — It cannot do this without the most advanced weapons our technology can provide).
These are just a few of the things that Obama stands for.

How truly sad that you see it that way, and you don't place any more importance on an election than that.

I think I just laid out the issues. I don't think that is "blind". You, on the other hand, do not know the issues, and are ignoring the facts.

Do you feel "big"?
I guess you just read what you want to read, huh?

Look, I say every election is a crapshoot (and I stress "crap" in that word) because you can't tell me or anyone that this president will do what he says he will do. This goes for ANYONE who runs, but who says that McCain wouldn't have turned around and lead us in the wrong direction?
You NEVER know how a person can turn out. You just pick the candidate you think is best. Period.

Now get this through your head....
-NO, I'm not some Obama fanatic who voted for him just cause it was "the cool thing to do"
-NO, I don't want to turn this country into something you're afraid of.
-I DO see that there are some flaws in this country and by thinking that this is the greatest country in the world (admiring Sean Hannity, of all people, is one).
-Once again, I didn't say "I dare you to say that at my school" to make me look "BIG". That last sentance you quoted was to point out that 98% of the time, people "talk big" over a computer and wouldn't dare say it to someone's face. I have no idea how you missed that......

I didn't post on this thread to cry and whine about the title, but still, what the hell gives you any right to call someone an idiot based on their beliefs or choices, as if you were God? What, just because YOU call me an idiot makes it true? What if YOU'RE wrong?

Anyway, none of this matters. Obama's president. Complain and be scared all you want, we wont know how this will turn out until 2012.

I'm done and I really, REALLY don't care if you reply to this.
Election's over. DONE.

Now you know how I feel about all of the IDIOT Roman Catholics who voted for Sen. McCain simply because he was pro-life and the bishop of the Diocese of Scranton said that they HAD to vote for him in order to remain in good standing. Now you know how I feel about all of the IDIOT Southerners who voted for Sen. McCain simply because they hate gay people. If you're going to harbor resentment against me, one of those "idiot young people," then perhaps you better look in the mirror at your own party's supporters first!

I am confused...usually older folks gripe about the youngsters never voting, yet now that they did, suddenly they shouldn't be? Were you honestly all that detailed in researching facts when you were that age?
