Putin backs unification of Russia with Belarus. I don't see how Belarus can sustain on its own without Russia…. Maybe it's time Belarus joins Russia as a Republic just like Crimea?

Putin Backs Unification Of Russia With Belarus
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has said he supports calls for Russia to merge with its western neighbor, Belarus.

"This is possible and very desirable," Putin said when asked at a pro-Kremlin youth camp on Lake Seliger if Russia and Belarus could merge into one entity.

"It depends completely on the will of the Belarusian people," he added.

Care to comment on these two videos that prove right there that Ukraine's partition ( or "federalization" or call it whatever) is the deed of new Kiev's government's hands, with nationalists having at least eight key positions there?

Ukrainian TV boss assaulted and forced to resign by far-right Svoboda MPs | euronews, world news

and this is sheer stupidity under the circumstances -

Children jumping in Kiev's school chanting "who is not jumping is a Russian" and "Russians to the gallows"

I'm sure Tyagnibok et al should be proud of all that nonsense, but you know what? Stupidity is punishable.

Majority of people from South Ossetia and Transnistria (not Abkhazia though) want to join Russia.
How people in South Ossetia, Abkhazia and Transnistria feel about annexation by Russia

Please. Only English and Russian speakers having no real world clue about Ukraine and Russian - Ukrainian coexistence would take this kind of slogans, which originated many decades if not centuries before 2014, seriously. Yes, it's crude, maybe it's somewhat insulting, it would terrify PC crowds in USA, but it has no literal meaning, it's a crude joke not unlike black calling another black N word. Russians have many crude, generally insulting jokes about Ukrainians. More than that, Russian Russians think that reiteration of this sort of "friendly" ethnic slur just underline their friendliness towards Ukrainians. But people who live in Ukraine generally take this as an innocent, neutral or insulting but a joke, nobody takes it as a threat. Yes, everything is very peculiar to stranger' ears but if it's taken out of the cultural context it becomes propaganda weapon in Kremlin' hands. For most of those kids in video Russian is a native language or they have Russian blood in them, since Kiev is a Russian speaking city.

Kremlin Propaganda keeps on fueling an image of Ukrainian "fascist" that Russian state is called by destiny to destroy, it needs to represent Crimean (+?) invasion and annexation as a defensive act, it's so fresh and original, it's nothing like rhetoric and propaganda Hitler used 75 years ago. Mother Russia doesn't fight fascism, it becomes one big fascist state with dangerous delusions and nuclear weapons (see definitions, Russia fits well those).

I by 101 times won't make comments on incident which in 2 days exposed in the Internet already more than 1000 Russians (many even here on 3 times).
I already suggested your companion to come to the Field of Mars, too most I can offer and to you.

The Russian nation is any big misunderstanding. You live in Orwell's country and you continue to try to discover fleas at neighboring states.
But here not only promotion is important, and it is important and that on what fertile field it gets.
You already are born with improbable imperial ambitions probably... And Kiselyov successfully finishes process of formation of meat of Orwell by the substantial air: )

Unfortunately, true.

And it looks like the propaganda works, judging by posts of some posters on this thread.

The whole "Ukrainian fascists" thing is so overblown!

And while some posters on this thread recognize and admit this fact, they continue feeding this propaganda.

You'd think, because Ukraine doesn't want any kind of union with Russia anymore, they are nationalists and fascists by default!

Ah Mr. Kiselyov. I wish I could see him as Russia's Walter Cronkite! But he's more like a Russian broadcast horse of another color. Probably the best State propagandist who is worth at least 3 Russia divisions to Mr. Putin to get everybody going and 'in line' with the script that ahs been written ...not as much upkeep as keeping the military materiel steaming you know?

Now I think Mr. Kiselyov followed up Nikita K's threat which was "We Will Bury You!" back in those early, dark and real 'cold' days where everybody ws chomping on the bit. Mr. Kiselyov's 'radioactive dust' quip kind of relates to it. Curious if even HE believed what he was talking about.

"Good News From Ukraine: Everyone Still Hates Hitler"

"Like all good propaganda, Russian claims of neo-fascist thuggery in Kiev are based on a kernel of truth. During the Euromaidan protests, two far-right Ukrainian groups rose to prominence.
