I think it's tiresome to discuss who has more Neo-Nazis since Russia herself is known to have quite a few...

Most of people in Eastern Ukraine doesn't want separation of their country. They are afraid the growth of crime in the cities and villages.

The 30 April referendum will not be confirm neither Kiev nor USA (EU).

Every country in the West, including the US, has Nazi's or some groups who claim similar alignment.

The discussion is more about political influence than "who has the most".

No, probably do not want separation, but perhaps more control in their own regions. Kiev has basically proven it is inept on every level since Ukraine's independence. While separation may be a bit extreme, people in economically sound areas probably wish a for little more control over their regions and not be so attached to Kiev.

These are the areas that voted for Yanukovich, jsut to see him get ousted by people not from the east, but from the west; there is little mystery as to why people from the east are very wary of the west, and after two revolts and the actions of the new gov, wish to gain more independence from actions in Kiev.

And unlike what many posters here and the media state, this is hardly an ethnic issue; Yanukovich had the support of many ethnic Ukrainians as well; the uniform factor in this was he gained votes from the more industrialized east. The east stands to lsoe the msot from the EU deal as they have their economy dependent on trade with Russia, which will basically stop because of the EU deal. Not too many people in the world are ever for deals that will cause them to lose their jobs.

Atai...

Yes, it existed. I don't believe the Galician division fought for as they say the.... 'Nazis'. They fought for Ukraine, their homeland.

War has a nasty habit of making people to make sometimes unpalatable choices in the midst of destruction and annhilation. We can see it in the Druzhina brigade as well. Some Russians also made those unpaltable decisions as well throwing their lot with the Germans on the Eastern front. They too didn't fight for the 'Nazis'. They fought to destroy Stalin.

Default Where are the tunks going?

Dear friends! Ukrainian blogers discuss the next movies for some days. These pictures please them greatly and make more sure! But I am in doubt... Are they real?

V., forget about Russia - we are talking about Ukraine.
And from what I can see, it's a big issue there.
The West has been fighting on Hitler's side, the East was all about Guerrilla war, ( partisans,) huge losses and the 9th of May ( the Victory day.) All this is in their DNK ( as Travric has put it.)
Now Kiev ( from what I hear) wants to abolish the 9th of May, all while the glorification of the Western Ukraine past is on a rise (all this re-burying of former SS officers that was posted here earlier, the display of Fascist insignia and the rest.)
So huge difference in approach to history, huge division in cultural respect for Eastern and Western parts alike. Definitely a problem.
