Not so new, by the way. After Orange revolution (2004) were published new history textbooks. At that time I was a schoolgirl and new textbooks, to say the least of it, confused me, because unlike the old textbooks, Division Galicia, Stepan Bandera and Roman Shukhevych were exhibited as heroes-liberators. Personally I was lucky with a history teacher, she held a war and told us a lot about what made these "liberators", but many kids now know only what they hear on history lessons and from news which tell them about Russian occupation of Novorossia.

Which is really preposterous, since East Ukraine has been one of the hardest-hit areas during German occupation and Donbass put the fierce resistence, bringing forth the heroes known to the whole Soviet Union, or rather martyrs, because of the horrible death they accepted at their young age; most of them were 16 - 20 years old.

Young Guard (Soviet resistance) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

( This is for Russian - speakers; ( warning, the description of the dead bodies of those young people is too graphic; that's why it's said there that "in reality the writer ( Fadeev) spared the readers and Gerasimov ( the movie producer) spared the audience, because this is what it really was;...)

http://www.istpravda.com.ua/blogs/20...40/view_print/

The kind of torture they went through is hard to accept, but it's well-documented, because the Soviet Army liberated the area only five! days after their horrible death, so their remains ( they've been thrown in mines) were uncovered.

That's why these recent images are eery reminiscent of what took place back then in Donbass.

Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has stopped taking prisoners, people under white flag are shot on the spot

Press-service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has announced that it won't capture militiamen any more, even those who raise white flag and would like to surrender. It has been officially permitted to shoot people with white flag on the spot “in order to avoid provocations” since July 3, as precepts of real fascists say.

As it is obvious from the report of Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, by now people with white flags have been shot more than once: “The provocations are strongly suppressed by forces of Anti-terrorist operation, and terrorists are immediately annihilated with fire.” We remind that not only peaceful dwellers, but also doctors and orderlies with emblems of Red Cross have been shot at more than once during the punitive operation. Now Ukrainian national security has found the way to acquit murders of people who would like to surrender and declared it officially. Also, it was told in the Ministry that no soldiers have died or been wounded during the first part of 3d July.

The decision of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, as well as all the crimes in the South-East of Ukraine, transgresses all the laws and conventions of International law. Their decision to take no captives violates Geneva Convention about treatment of war prisoners, which was enacted in 1949. It says that a soldier of official army, as well as a militiaman, can be confirmed as captives, and their treatment should be humane. Everyone can become a captive, if he wants to surrender by his will, and he can't be deprived of life and right to correspondence with his family. Numerous murders of peaceful dwellers and militiamen of Eastern Ukraine committed by Kiev's authorities transgress the 4th point of the 2nd clause of UNO Charter, which says that “every member of UN should avoid use of aggression and threat of using aggression”. Ignoring this principle is a serious crime punished with the utmost rigor of the law.

The punitive operation itself is a penal act even because it breaks The Final act of OSCE of 1975, which claims that “every country should solve all disputes only with use of peaceful methods”. This principle also has law power in case of the conflict between Kiev and Eastern Ukraine.

Moreover, Poroshenko and Government of Ukraine ignore the most significant principle of UNO Charter, the second point of the 1st clause of the Charter, which proclaimes “the right of nations for self-determination”, to say nothing about the whole 1st clause of the Charter which states that authorities of all countries “should respect and protect human rights”. Bombardments of the cities on Donbass and in Lugansk region show that Kiev's authorities forgot about these laws.

I had to use Google translator AGAIN.

July 3 at checkpoints, where there are forces ATO, there is a tendency to use a white separatist flag for approaching checkpoints and opening fire on the Ukrainian military. However, such provocations decisively terminated by the ATO and immediately destroy terrorist assault.

Who to believe? Moscow might tell a different story.

First of all, Ukrainian militarians are too shy and forgot to tell that prvocations under the white flags are their exploits. In militia not so many people to send them on such operations.
The second ЛНÐ*.Луганск. Стрельба по беженцам, дорога на Изварино. 04.07.2014 / The LPR. Lugansk. Izvarino - YouTube

Refugees which were going to checkpoint Izvarino were shot, behind the scenes author of the video says it is not the first time when refuges were killed on theit way, shouting "run away" those who passes along this road and said that the other day the same thing happened with him and his car. I will search for another video where sсhoolboy from Slavyansk tells about death of his friend and friend's family on a way to Izvarino. It is Russian checkpoint, by the way, seems people still run to their so called occupants.

Slavyansk. Yesterday. Local residents ask Putin to stop what is happening (Russian language).

They call residents of the western Ukraine "beast" and "banderlog" for what they do.

MLRS 9K58 "Smerch" - Soviet multiple rocket launcher caliber 300 mm. Usually uses cassette shells.

UPD:
