Good on you, Cyn! And you won't be spending all that money on doctors forever, you know; in the long run, your medical costs are likely to be a whole lot lower as a result of your very wise decision to give up the nicotine addiction. You must be on, what, day 38? 39? We're all so proud of you!
Supper tonight will be another bowl of leftovers in the staff lounge before class. Yuck. Monday night was simply AWFUL. I thought the other guy on the DVD was bad in the earlier classes, but now they've switched to one who is even worse. It took him an hour - SIXTY MINUTES! - to READ us 10 pages on contract law from the text. I try not to think about how much I spent to take these things, because it's just not healthy for my blood pressure when I get that angry.
Ah well, this too shall pass. Have a great one today, all, if I can keep my eyes open when I get home late tonight, I'll check in then, otherwise I'll see you tomorrow.
Cyn.....Day 40 and no patches. You really did great. Big congrats
Lets see dinner tonight. I think we will go to Applebees. Got a gift card with some money left.
either that or left over chicken soup. It was very good btw. Best I ever made.
Hi all. We are having heavy winds today. 50-60MPH sustained. Well at least our wind generator will be giving us a boost of power today.
It is so true how we start to associate each other by certain foods. Does this thread make any of you think or dream about food more? I do and it was bad enough before I joined all of you food lovers. I keep coming back because I really like all of you.
Tonight my hubby is having baked chicken, mashed potatoes, and corn. I am making a falafel in a pita and a salad.
Cyn when I quit smoking I took every dime that I would have spent on cigarettes and put it away. It took 18 months but with that money DH and I took a 4 day land tour and 7 day cruise to Alaska with a beautiful balcony suite...we even had enough leftover to take a helicopter ride over glaciers, land on one and we went dogsledding. Trip of a lifetime.
I haven't been able to save like that again but it was nice to breath that beautiful air in Alaska. Hang in there!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Morning, it's icy in Dallas, and therefore the entire city has shut down.
I baked some extra chicken thighs last night, so I can make some pulled chicken for dinner.
Chicken soft tacos with either avocado slices, guacamole, or avo taco sauce, depending on the state of my avocados!
Hmmm..since I'm still home..(office is opening at 11) maybe I should be thinking about cooking up some pintos to go with that.
