I have just finished cooking my very own and no doubt really non-authentic version of Bolognese pasta sauce ( using pork, beef and veal mince) and will leave it to cook very slowly over the next day and then serve it with some Spaghetti. It is starting the smell pretty darn nice.

Tonight though simple King Prawns in Teriyaki Marinade, garlic and noodles with some stir-fried vegetables. It takes about 5 minutes to make so ideal for me as I was cooking something else. This is one of my laziest recipes I think. Creme Caramel for dessert , shop bought and still yummy.

Morning everyone, dinner last night ended up being pizza. Too tired to cook so hubby and I took the lazy way out.

Dinner tonight will be grilled chicken that we didn't make last night.

Skbs sending good thoughts your way for your Grandma.

Everyone stay safe in the ice and stay warm.

Oh there is no sneaking about it. He laughs because he knows it will be the first thing I make when he leaves. Next Tuesday, Red Meat Week begins in Movingtohouston's household. LOL

In all fairness, bacon is the only thing he can't stand smelling cooking.(How that is possible I don't know) Most of ya know that my dh will only eat chicken and fish but he will cook red meat and some cuts of pork for us. So I try to be kind and not cook bacon when he is around. But man oh man am I craving bacon.

I had no pintos in the house.

Turned into black beans cooked with a bit of sausage and fresh jalapeno, cumin, OJ, and sherry. These beans are really good topped with sour cream or yogurt.

MTH I love the smell of bacon but HATE the smell of anything Maple flavored whether it is bacon or sausage. I don't know why that is because I like the taste of maple but the smell makes me sick.
