Actually Serino’s testimony only bolsters the State’s case. Tracy Martin was emotional and obviously didn’t want to believe it was his son, but he knew in his heart it was.

I just saw Tracy in the courtroom and it looked to me as well that in his heart he knew it was tm screaming.

Why wouldn't it be relevant? I agree that it doesn't mean he deserved what happened, but it can also show that Zimmerman had every right to defend himself against somebody who could be seen as dangerous. If they show that he was prone to getting in fights, I would think that it would be relevant to this case.
