WOW how misinformed can you be?

Dominican Republic has one of the lowest crime/murder Rates in the Americas.
And it is actually going down !!!

in 2019 the crime rate is about 9.4 for the first 6 months of the year, about the same rate of the state of South Carolina.

god, are you serious?

It’s out of self hate. Well all know certain posters fled absolutely cesspools to come to the US. Just to travel to these countries you need lots of vaccines. Walk around the streets of Santo Domingo you’ll see sick straw dogs and starved horses with sores.

Says a lot about the crappy state of the society.

If you are an old retired American, it is very cheap to get services in the DR. Put 20 dollars on a fishing rod and you’ll catch quite a bit.

Remember to stock up on antibiotics and antivirals.
M
Actually is quite the contrary. People needs vaccines to travel to the US due to the measles and smallpox, there are no epidemiological warnings for the DR at the moment, and no extra vaccine beside the regular schedule is required for the DR.

Rabies and Malaria have been detected there but those illnesses come from across the Haitian border.

Oh, the Dominicans in NYC are the number one cocaine dealers and the number one weed dealers. That’s all Dominican neighborhoods are good for. At least they produce a few good baseball players because they cannot produce worthwhile business people or politicians.

Rather ramble nonsensical on being mixed, you might talk about how to fix the DR’s vast socioeconomic problems. There’s millions of Dominicans in the US. Why? It’s a poverty ridden, full of crime, poorly educated dump. So of course people flee that hell hike.

You might talk about why so many people flee and why so many Dominicans in NYC end up on welfare programs or in the projects. Why few Dominicans can afford good neighborhoods.

Why there’s so much violence in the DR and in Dominican neighborhoods.

Dominican Neighborhoods in NY have one of the lowest crime rate in NYC
and Dominican Republic has one of the lower crime rates in the Americas
Both Washington Heights and Inwood are among the top 10 safest neighborhoods in the NYC.
Both Washington Heights and Inwood reported ZERO murders in 2018.

The overall crime rate in Washington Heights is 69% lower than the national average.
For every 100,000 people, there are 2.36 daily crimes that occur in Washington Heights.
Washington Heights is safer than 72% of the cities in the United States.

Yup. The Dominican part of the Bronx is actually safer than the further eastern or southern parts of the Bronx which are more black and puerto rican. You can gather from the map that if you want to go safer areas, just look for areas with more Dominicans. Same with Harlem, central harlem which is black, and east harlem which is PR are higher crime than the Heights and Inwood.

But NYfrustratedwriter is a troll, always has been. He needs to spend more time with his boyfriend or something.

Ocasio Cortez and the other three Congresswomen fear for their lives, fools. What do you think will happen to Dominican neighborhoods in NYC as women of color in Congress are targeted? Trump and his supporters are saying non white don’t belong.

Have your passports ready. I’m not trolling. Only a blind person cannot see what’s coming.

What you said has nothing to do with topic...Trump and his supporters have been saying they are going to deport of a lot of people ,it hasn't happened yet.

At least you can come with facts before you type.

I don’t think it affects Dominican immigrants as much as other Hispanic groups. Dominican immigrants are not only overwhelmingly legal (in fact, illegality is among the lowest levels among Hispanics), but it also has one of the largest percentages of people that naturalized as US citizenship. Part of the reason is that Dominican politicians in the DR encourage this and made dual nationality with the US to further encourage the Dominican population in the US. Its basically impossible to lose Dominican citizenship when a person gains it by being born to at least one Dominican parent. I see it as mostly a non-issue with this ethnicity. Doesn’t mean Dominicans as a group feel for other latino groups that will be heavily affected by Trump’s migration policy.

On another note, there are several Dominican immigration lawyers that became very successful in Dominican television and radio in the DR.

The most famous is Yadira Morel. She became a lawyer in her native Santiago. Then moved to New York only to find out that there she was nothing, so she studied again and became a lawyer in that state. She didn’t like the winters and discovered Florida, so she moves to Miami where she becomes aware that in Florida she is a nobody again. She became a lawyer in that state and coincided with the Mariel case from Cuba. That introduced her to the migration issue because at her firm she was the only one to be fluent in Spanish. Then she fell in love with a Dominican man that travelled but had no intention of leaving Santo Domingo, so she moved to DR. Then she discovered that immigration on Dominican television paid very well and she developed that segment which wasn’t talked about in Dominican TV. Now she says that she is never leaving the DR, that’s where God is, she loves the Dominican people, she loves the facility the DR offers (even the pharmacy delivers, lol), she says she can’t no longer live in the US where daily life is very rigid, she likes that in the DR even people that doesn’t know here says hello where she goes because that’s part of the culture, etc. She thanks her ex-husband for returning to the DR. She has one daughter with him who is now all grown up.

She speaks at the beginning and in the second half of this video.

Many other lawyers have now gained success by going on Dominican TV too. Yudith Feliz is another one that has become very popular and lives a very good life in the DR. I think she is very cute too, probably explains much of her success. lol She is much younger than Yadira Morel.

There are others. One thing that I notice is that all the people that gained success through this are women. I guess its a way to empower females as well.

Much of it is language-related, and the fact they emigrate to the rest of the Caribbean. Guyanese also emigrate in large numbers, but the fact they speak English gives them more of an in-road into other English-speaking Caribbean countries where Haitians do not.

That being my point so those Dominicans who justify their animosity towards Haitians base don events of almost 200 years ago and constantly scream about Haitians plotting to invade look ridiculous.

The issue with the DR is that they have their own problems and are ill equipped to deal with those of a failed state.

I do suggest that they tell those who constantly bang on about 1822 and a Haitian plot should stop this. It undermines legitimate concerns of the border. They also need to tell the elites that Dominicans of Haitian descent are DOMINICAN!
