Brian, you should have written the Posts' review. I can't imagine that theirs would have been any better.

My maternal g/parents had cornbread in milk every single nite for dinner, LOL!!! They might add some of the other leftovers f/ lunch on the side, such as green beans or baked apples . . . I think it got started b/c lunch in this region was usually the big meal of the day - "farm hands meal" - so for the evening, just something simple (everyone was tired and hungry so who could cook a lot?) I think that is why their generation was rarely fat and ours is fat. We eat too much in the evening.

I think putting cornbread and milk together is a lot like cereal and milk, don't you? But my grandmother did often put buttermilk on her cornbread, LOL. I believe that would be considered an acquired taste . . . not for everyone!!!!

This can't be true! I found a link to this story on Digg. I'm officially horrified and can not fathom any resident of this nation NOT being able to find it on a map!

Steven Shehori: Poll: 37% of Americans Unable to Locate America on Map of America

Think about it. The average IQ of Americans is supposedly 98 . . . that ain't very impressive. If you consider that in many areas of the country, only 1/2 Americans finished high school . . . the depth of ignorance is not hard to fathom.

Sad, but true. It would be interesting to know the socioeconomic and regional break down of those surveyed.
