it is 3 degrees outside right now: Home made soup is on, which Texas toast. OK, so it isn't really home made completely. It is one of those packages with a little home made added. I rarely buy the packets, I don't know if I did cause it offered something special or why, but I have had it in the cupboard for a year or more. This is the perfect night for it. I am not even sure what kind it is. I think something like Potato.?

Good day to you all, hope you had a relaxing weekend.
Tonight we have "Aloo gajjar"..potato/carrot vegetable dish with chapatis, homemade plain yogurt, lassi and for dessert 1/2 a pink grapefruit.

some water to cover bottom of pot

Fry cumin seeds in olive oil til they crackle, add carrots and potatoes and keep frying for 6 minutes, stirring occasionally.Add green chilies,coriander/turmeric powder, salt and a bit of water.Cover and cook on lower heat for 7 minutes until dish is tender and water evaporated. Tonight will finally be the Balda Cagna on cauliflower and crusty italian bread. (currently mixing/rising now) Alongside I think Madame Spaghetti to use up the rest of the anchovies. Might as well go the whole fishy route.

I am having a grilled hamburger with mayo, onion and tomato for lunch and taco something for supper.
I also am going to put up a pot of ham & beans so they will be done and ready for tomorrow or the freezer or both.

Another night of flounder -- I over-bought and need to use it while it's nice and fresh. Think I'll poach it in a little chicken broth and serve it on top of a soup of chicken broth, herbs, fresh noodles, and greens.
