You have the same breakfast every morning and the same dinner every night? Doesn't that get boring?

I do the same thing. I get on kicks where one thing always sounds good. Right now it's breakfast omelettes and grilled chicken dinners. But when I'm over it, I'm over it. I've had to throw out food in the freezer because I switched to another obsession and I just don't want it anymore.

We are having tacos, refried black beans, rice and taquites (no, not home made, they are frozen). I rarely get them, but once in awhile my bad self tells my good self; go ahead and enjoy every bite.

Holy Cow, it just dawned on me, it ask Wednesday, not only did we not do the church thing but I am having meat for dinner. Even though it is not part of our religious beliefs to skip meat on Ash Wed and all Fridays during lint, the religion I was raised in it was our tradition and I have always done this. I guess, not this year!! We had fish last night, that makes up for it, huh?

I made a white chili...but I know that my DP wont consider it an appropriate meal.......so I will have to think of something else for him. Not sure what it will be.....perhaps Udon noodles with some chicken in the broth. I had the chili for lunch (taste testing) and it is good......so will have it again for supper.

We've having leftovers. This is what's in the refrigerator: Homemade chili and cornbread; Buffalo Chicken pieces; Pork Chops in gravy; leftover mashed potatoes. My refrigerator is full and needs cleaned out!

Oh yes, still have some leftover garlic bread to and also have some homemade chocolate chip cookies and some pizelles.

Thank goodness we like leftovers. I hate to waste food!

Surely I can round up a decent meal with the above, to clean out the refrigerator.

I went to a Mardi Gras party last night and I'm still in the mood for Creole food since I'm usually the person hosting one. Buttery crab bread pudding (a new recipe from a friend), roasted corn, black bean and mango salad, Creole sausage puffs with bourbon mustard, double bourbon pecan pudding. I'm cheating a little because I actually gave up liquor for Lent.
