I find that people who use the word "cult" to describe a religion they disapprove of are generally pretty uninformed. I try to reserve the use of the word "cult" to describe true cults like Jim Jones and the People's Temple.
A cult is any group (usually religious) that expects members to isolate from family and friends, devote unreasonable hours to the cause, claim to be the ONLY true believers, shame others into staying and ostracizes those who leave and call them demon seeds and satan's spawn.

I would pretty much agree with you on most of those points, although it's clear to me from your language (i.e. "demon seeds and satan's spawn") that this is a definition you came up with on your own. And that was my point. Everybody seems to have their own definition of the word "cult." Most of the time, when I hear the word "cult," it is being used to describe a group whom the individual using it doesn't like, and the definition is frequently tailor-made to describe that definition.
God gave us his written word for-ALL- to live by. Just because you don't agree doesn't make you right. 99% of all religions are cultish--one is correct--one has Jesus.

I do support their idea of separation/avoidance of causes, politics, charities and other churches. Limits a lot of problems in wrong kind of communities. Will only get yourself used up for getting involved in these sometimes. These things end up being the wrong kind of people more often than not any more. Good advice IMHO.
How better to get worship than to pose as all the false gods. Are the false gods real? NO-- so someone is getting all that worship, it is satan. The bible says, he got jealous and wanted worship--all sin = worship to satan.
Great folks perhaps too hung up on end-times ( although your a loser and a fool if not prepared ) . Secondly, although I have high praise for their witnessing although if they think for a minute that
"work" is linked to salvation or a ticket t heaven say they are wrong. Now as a caveate to members
saved via their belief in the son of man their works will earn them "rewards" given in heaven for
stewardship, giving, time and energies given back to the kingdom. Lastly, they are perverting scripture
with any thought of being raptured ( caught up) or given a heavenly ticket via works. It's not in the
word except off of man's lips!!! Young people today are told Witnesses are a cult, of Satan and all
I can say is that's so much baloney one has to consider the sources......babies.
