NEG, congratulations on the twins. No, you won't be moving away from those babies.
The driving ban was due to what happened in 1978 in Boston with thousands of cars stranded on the highways and the plows couldn't even get to them. It went on for weeks and weeks and there were people trapped in their cars. Our gov. did the right thing, if only for Boston, not for the rest of us but the rest of this state never counts anyway. It's always been like that.
I got out for the first time today, went to one store, and realized I was so tired out from yesterday's digging and playing in the snow that I had to come back home. If there's another storm coming, it's jump in the car and head south to stay with my sister. We have to take the dog so the car trip is the only way to go.

what's with the asterisks? Is y a k a verboten word
It is on this forum--it's the name of the senior mod, and before they banned it I hear people were trying to bait him by using it in naughty ways. So they banned the word just to make life easier. Although I sometimes see people use it, so maybe you can use it if you capitalize the Y or something like that.
New England Girl - just saw the news. Wow, a double dose right off the bat. Congrats.
We've got a little bit of snow coming down here but don't expect much to accumulate.
Trying to get caught up on some housework while the weather is not very nice. Been a busy week for me.
After a consult with my regular vet it's been decided that Frannie, one of my old black labs, should have surgery for her laryngeal paralysis. It will have to be done at the Virginia Tech School of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg. Fortunately that only a little over an hours drive for me. She goes in on Monday and hopefully will only stay a night or two.
Some good progress with my frozen shoulder - range of motion is almost back to normal if I move my arm forward and up or even to the side. Still have a ways to go when it comes to reaching backward, say to tuck in the back of my shirt but even that has improved a little. The woman I go to for body work is a gem.

Thanks ~ today was one of the best days of my life. I got to hold a grandchild for the first time. The twins (identical girls_ are still in ICU but are graduating to open bassinettes. I was alone with them for 20 min. and could hold the slightly bigger one while the other napped. The little one I was holding hadn't opened her eyes yet at day 9, but she opened them and looked right at me before fluttering back into dreamland. This memory should hold me for the rest of my life. I can't wait to hold her sister.

An emotional moment. I'm very happy for you.
