OMG. I could have written that. We took the snow shovels off the front porch and put them down cellar today. I said we wouldn't be needing them. Then it snowed this afternoon, huge flakes.

NEG, maybe one of us should change our names. We live in the same general area and we often say the same things. People will be accusing us of being the same person. Or maybe I can put on a disguise and start chatting about financial matters.)

I'm working on it. Maybe I'll find a name without "newengland."

Woke up to a coating of snow. I wonder if we're now in "perpetual winter."
I dislike weather forecasters and will never believe them again (those 10-day forecasts...).
Supposedly we'll hit 60 tomorrow.

I just created a new thread in the Medicare forum. FYI:

Read up and be aware, fellow seniors. Not knowing how Medicare operates in hospital stays can be costly.

Loony Medicare rules can turn a hospital visit into a costly adventure

^^ about being on observation status instead of being admitted?

LOL, you two. Woke up to an inch of ice and, yes, my shovels were put away, too. Chopping and shoveling yet again today!

Brat, sorry about your 'disconnect' but glad you are settling in!

Our Dogwoods have started to bloom. Daffodils started over a week ago. We have lots of primrose and phlox. The tulips haven't yet but we are about 800 ft above Asheville where the tulips seem to be out full force. Will run by the Biltmore next week to see the flowers D Abby exhibit. We are sitting on our deck right now , with cocktails and kindled enjoying the view and breeze.

The weeping cherry tree is almost full of beautiful, delicate pinkish white blossoms. No sooner does it reach this lovely state then we get a couple of days of thunderstorms with some good winds and all but a few of the blooms are gone. We are having our first t-storm of the spring season, with more to follow in the coming days.

Sorry to hear that you're still getting snow up in NE. Perhaps putting away the shovels in early April is just tempting fate and one should wait a few extra weeks.
