So sorry this happened to you, Meo. Oh my goodness. I'm glad you're ok and Marigold too. What a crazy and scary thing to go through.
This is why even though my vehicle is very old, I carry comp and collision. It's served me well twice in the past 10 years. Best of luck finding a replacement Meo.
PS Maybe Marigold didn't like the smell (scent?) of the place where she didn't want to get out (before the accident). Or maybe the vibes. You know how smart animals are that way.
Amen to that! I'm learning to think that way more and more in my old age.
By the way, I've taken some minor flak for carrying comp and collision on older vehicles, but it's always paid off. One time I got high blue book and the other time I got high blue book and they let me keep the vehicle, which I sold 2-3 years later (that one was only vandalized and seats stolen, inside damage).
The weather has been crazy all over the U.S. this year. I sure hope it's calmer next year. I had planned to visit the AZ and NV deserts this past winter, but glad it didn't work out. Wind is a hassle when you're a nomad. I started hating wind when I lived in northern New Mexico! When I first landed there at a state park, I and my dogs had to sit in my vehicle for 3 whole days due to the wind, so I felt compassion when I saw you and other nomads suffering through the weather this past winter.
I'm sorry that happened but glad you're OK. That guy Paul sounds like a truly decent person. I know things will work out for you with your car situation. I went down a mountainside in my SUV but I'm still here and so is the SUV!
Oh my gosh! Just reading about your accident! So glad to hear you and Marigold are ok. Just be careful the next few days. Sometimes aches and pains can set in when least expected.
Paul was in the right place at the right time. My son in law is a barber and yes, barbers know everyone lol.
Maybe you can replace the cube with something a tad larger.
