Meo, would it help to set up a game camera?

Wondering if Marigold ate any of the food they left out... if she's been back to the cube....

Food was eaten but they haven't seen her so not sure if it was her.
I hung around another day but nothing. I gave them the food I had for her and they'll keep looking. His wife is a cat lover so if she can be found AND caught they'll take her in.

The problem is that she won't let anyone, even me, catch her. Personally I think she likes being at the tow shop. She has protection from the elements, food if she's the one eating it and woods to hang out in.

They'll let me know if they find her but I started back home today.

Yes, I will miss her terribly and I feel sad and want to kick myself for letting this happen. I tried hard to get her to come to me and see wouldn't do it so I have to let it go, as heartbreaking as that is.

Meo, please know I am not trying to beat you up, but typically it takes awhile to catch a cat that bolted like she did. I know of quite a few success stories but some took a couple of weeks. (one ended up in another state and it took a few months but he showed up!)

I hope you were able to get some flyers up before you left for home. Please keep us posted.

I don't believe the story is over. Cats are really smart. Yes, Marigold has had some trauma but she will bounce back. She knows people are calling for her, she knows that people are leaving food for her. She's close by. Her instincts will kick in and she knows how to get away from predators. Let's wait and see what happens. I think she will come out eventually. It might take up to a week or 10 days.

I meant her and Marigold's story. My thought is, IF Marigold reappears, her post made it sound like the wife would be willing to take her in, as she was a cat lover. Maybe i misunderstood, if so, sorry.

She's back on the road right?

Mod cut: Orphand (quoted post has been deleted).

Both meo and Marigold have been through a lot in recent days and months. Let's see what happens.

This past winter in Quartzsite was unusual. There was more wind and especially more rain. I follow quite a few nomads closely and have been one myself in Quartzsite.

I lived in the Mojave Desert for 17 1/2 years, year-round, all seasons. This was a normal winter.

No it wasn't! Many nomads who spend every winter there said how unusual it is and how difficult it was. I grew up in California near the Mojave desert. Quartzite is not the Mojave - it's the Sonoran Desert.

I also lived in the Phoenix Scottsdale area for 6 years and friends there said how incredibly wet it was this past winter - that's unusual.
