Only God's Holy Spirit of agape love as revealed and demonstrated unambiguously by Jesus can substantiate ANYTHING in the Bible! That is why the Comforter abides with us to guide us to the Truth God has "written in our hearts." You ignore that Truth at your own peril believing the "precepts and doctrines of men" that you have been taught, IMO.
However, the way to receive "God's Holy Spirit of agape love" is not through eastern meditation; but through faith in Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:14).
Let's say Jerwade is a very rich man, has many properties and many servants to take care of everything.
He goes on a 6 month journey and leaves a letter for the servants with his instructions of things he wants done. He tells the servants the letter is in his study on his desk.
When he returns, nothing in the letter is done. He asks his servants why is nothing in the letter is done?
They tell him, we didn't believe you wrote that letter, so we ignored it!
What would Jerwade do about that?
Would you just forgive and forget, or throw out everyone of them and find new help?

I would not have left a letter (written by someone else) to begin with; and would have discussed things directly, so there would be no confusion. I would not have left instructions on a memo pad, sitting on a desk, hoping they might follow it. Those who know me, know what I want without asking or being told what to do.
I didn't say that it only applies to them; I said that it specifically applied to Peter when he substantiated Paul in 2 Peter 3:15-16. Who substantiated the rest of the Bible in 2 Timothy 3:15-17.
There is a difference between the people who wrote the OT and those who wrote the NT. Those who wrote the OT only saw Gods hind part, Jesus gave us a full frontal. lol
