Thanks Putin. Enjoy your never-ending guerilla war.

No, the West's downfall will be to focus on an enemy whose goals are limited and ultimately of little consequence to us while being distracted from a much more potent foe who *already* has been responsible for the death of nearly a million Americans and got away with it *scot free* perhaps because we're too busy letting ourselves be distracted.

I would add:

Sent the Afghanistan's Taliban into hiding.

Sent Saddam Hussein into hiding in underground bunker before his capture

Sent Libya's Gaddafi and his inner cohort hid inside drainage pipes before his capture.

President Obama tried unsuccessfully to get Syria's Assad into a bunker.

And then, there is Yemen where the USA is supplied weapons to the invading Saudi Arabia. Still, no one in Yemen has been caught living in a bunker.

What the USA wants is to find Putin in a bunker hiding from us.

Zbiegnev Brzezinski was a huge problem. There is a personal edge to the anti-Putin and anti-Russian policy. At last, we are immature and we think we own the world.

Isolating Russia will be the West's downfall.
So what do you propose that the West do, regarding Russia conquering and subjugating Ukraine? Nothing? Just more appeasement? Hope he doesn't take another European nation?

There is no evidence to substantiate your conspiracy theories, nor can I even rationalize them.

That is no conspiracy theory. It's a verifiable fact that Chinese officials sat on knowledge of the virus and played it down when they still could do so, which brutally delayed the response to it. There is no way March/April 2020 would have been in Europe and the U.S. what it was if China had not done what they did.

Please explain what Ukraine ever did wrong!? There is just absolutely nothing real or legitimate in Russia's own favor. Whatever the true Russia might be for the current to final. Other than the next door neighbor, simultaneously also a very dark future for Russia all of a sudden. Severe regret already happening over there. Trust me, Post Soviet Union is infinite much more smooth from 1990s, into 2000 to 2021. Never 2022-dark pit of isolationist despair is a solid guarantee.

At least it's not Ukraine's own fault. Endless sympathy. And almost everyone worldwide is holding back anger. And of course absolute correct emotions right among crying of tears. From billions of people. Ukraine is far too right, and innocent to ever have such problems... Please defend your own country in well justified response. Ended up still being completely rational. And whoever the not people agressors are, just stop attacking Ukraine.

Ukraine used to be one of the most underrated treasures in Europe. One of the most affordable for foreign tourists to visit. Actually quite rare for the mainland Europe Continent to offer such a wonderfully not expensive vacation. Really not fair further. Also, Ukraine is one of the most largest independent republics in Europe with mega cities of Kyiv(One of the most massive in Europe), Lviv, Odessa, Kharkiv. Still perfectly medium sized like France, Italy, Spain, Romania, Poland, Germany, even Sweden, Finland, Bulgaria technically. Even with issues of poverty before this tragedy, still able to live Moderate Middle income with the low cost of living and right bargains that is around. Why such a waste of a conflict. One of the worst atrocities in this World of the 2000's.

100% Accurate Universal Objective Truth: Endless wishes prayers to Ukraine. Hope for the best in recovery. And a fast one not too late.

Bad news from Kiev ( on Russian news.)
Since Zelensky government distributed about 20,000 guns to anyone wishing to have it to "protect the motherland," now the city is full of maraudering and people shooting at each other, confusing the "imaginary enemy" for the "Russian subversive activities."

The more information we have, the harder it is to learn the truth.
Deepfake technology is certainly being used to hide the facts.

I haven’t read or heard any Ukrainian or western sources of information rebut any news coming from the Sea of Avov/Black Sea littoral.

If you know of any, please share.

I am referring specifically to the Sea of Avov/Black Sea littoral.

Thank you.

No it's called diplomacy.

The first step in diplomacy is sitting down with your adversary.

Diplomacy isn't this:
Quote:
"February 22, 2022, Blinken cancels Geneva meeting with Russian FM for later this week, says it doesn’t make sense after Ukraine moves."
https://wtop.com/national/2022/02/bl...ukraine-moves/

Diplomacy means you are demanding something in return for something. Like President Kennedy's diplomacy for the Cuban Missile Crisis. He demand the Soviet take their missile out of Cuban. He gave up the USA missile in Turkey in return. Diplomacy is a dance.

We weren't will to give the Russians/Putin anything. The result was a bloody civil war in Donbas.

The biggest USA mistake is overpromising to allies.

George W. Bush was literally "all hat and no cattle" with Georgia in 2008. Bush promised Georgia the USA would intervene with Russia. He was full of big talk of democracy and freedom. In the end, it was empty promises. If the Georgian president had known there was going to be no back up, I am will to bet, he would have done a better job of diplomacy with Russia.

It the same exact thing with the Ukraine. We overpromised on our and NATO commitments. Zelenskyy probably thought the USA would actively defend the Ukraine. He is asking for the USA and NATO to make a no fly zone over the Ukraine. In order to do a no fly zone, the USA jets would have to takeout Russia planes and bomb Russian Radar facilities. It's an Act of War.

The USA should have explained the USA and NATO engagement limits to Zelenskyy. The fact that Zelenskyy doesn't understand our limits makes me think we were "all hat and no cattle" again.

If the USA had explained the facts of life to Zelenskyy, we would have told decide what the Ukraine was willing to give up and what it wanted in return.

For instance - The Donbas region voted to reunite with Russia. If Zelenskyy was not willing to give up the region, what would Zelenskyy be willing to do? Could he reinstate the Minsk agreement so ethnic Russians could use their own language in business and school again? Would Zelenskyy be willing to stop the ethnic violence and civil war? He had to give up something to stop the war.

Evidentially, Zelenskyy was unwilling to negotiate with Russia on any level. I wouldn't doubt, he thought he had an ace in his hand with his USA alliance - a "get of jail for free" card. Well, see where that got the Ukraine.

Putin isn't interested in another country.

I've been thinking about this issue and it strikes me as oddly funny that the best chess players are Russian (not everyone but quite a few). I am guess Putin thought diplomacy was like a chess game with rules. Unfortunately, the USA thinks of diplomacy as a list of its demands. It doesn't play the game or dance. It's my way or the highway.

War is a failure of diplomacy. It's when all the other options are gone.
