When it came time to vote 99 other countries sided with the US, 11 opposed the US, and 58 abstained. Your claim that abstain and absent = negative is absurd.

In the context of UN votes abstinence does not = doubt. It could/might, but is not a certainty because it could also possibly = other things, such as political expediency without any doubt.

Just wanted to share an excellent writeup that was shared by another poster in a different subforum about the disinformation campaign. They have assembled a list of the lies Russia is broadcasting about the war in Ukraine. If you recognize someone sharing these bogus stories you now have a reference list of which posts to ignore as fabrications from the Russian propaganda mill.
