And looks like the KGB is getting more and more brazen. Today they assassinated an opposition leader right in Red Square.

Putin Foe Shot In the Shadow Of the Kremlin

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/02/28/wo...T.nav=top-news

At this point, Putin is probably thinking he's invincible, so why bother sneaking around and assassinating people. The fact that he will murder you right in Red Square for having a different opinion is a powerful message to Russians who are not yet under his yoke. Submit or you may be next.

The last chapters in Putin's hateful life will probably mirror those of Tsar Nicholas.

The last thing Putin needs now is this particular killing. To remove someone who is not any kind of threat for him politically speaking, and see the West pointing at him? What for?
Your understanding of politics is rather primitive, sorry.

What?! I'm reading on FB now that Nemtzov is killed?!
A benign politician - not a threat to Putin at all.
It rather reflects the mood of the society in Moscow overall; no Maidan in any shape and form after Ukrainian events. A clear message sent to opposition.
Just wow. Still can't believe it happened.
Who did it? The pro Putin types are very well organized apparently. I can't say I am disappointed when politicians are killed by politicians. I think it's better for the common people.

I'm not clicking any more buttons, might get a disease. I don't like the invasive nature of things like Facebook ect.

They claimed to have the license plates of the cars involved in the shooting.

Anti-Putin leader Boris Nemtsov fatally shot in Moscow

He wasn't a threat politically. Putin had an approval rating of 86%. This might help increase the numbers at the opposition rally.

Aha, and the Russian paid sycophants are already at it!

Obviously the KGB doesn't kill Putin's enemies- it must be Ukrainan agents, of course! Their famed Ukranian espinoge machine is obviously much more sophisticated than the KGB! Or maybe the evil Europe or US killing Russian opposition leaders, because obviously the West wants to kill Putin's opponents, and of course the U.S. operates right in the middle of Red Square!

And love the mention of "approval ratings." Russia is a dictatorship. There are no "approval ratings". There are only ratings reported by the Kremlin controlled state media, which actually writes the scripts for all news on all Russian media outlets, public and "private". No one has any idea of Putin's "approval ratings" as there is no such entity to conduct such a poll.

Don't be a clown. Don't you know that as the result of the US meddling in Ukrainian affairs Russian nationalist movement now is sky high, not to mention overwhelming support given to Putin?
Putin admirers most likely killed Nemtsov, but Putin didn't order anything of this kind - it was simply not in his interests.
