that's interesting cause when they reached out to me like two weeks ago they said they were only processing 2 bedrooms and not 1 and 3's so i asked them to upgrade me to a 2 bedroom but i initially wanted the 1 bedroom...

so now i'm in the process of getting a 2 bedroom

From my understanding, the HPD handbook and previous stuytown lotteries… the lottery stops when all units are taken OR the log numbers expire. Which would be March 2023 I believe. Whichever comes first. However, COVID may have affected how it runs and how long it runs. I’ve read people on the forum getting called off the 2018 list. Dont know how true that is tho.

How far along in the process are you, if you don’t mind me asking? I’m expecting an offer any day now.

I’m from the 2018 list and honestly I’m surprised I’m even being considered at this point.

Not yet. That’s what I’m waiting for as well. I spoke to my case worker in the lottery office today and she said to expect an offer today actually but it didn’t come so maybe tomorrow.

i'm not sure how if it's like tomorrow soon or next week soon so i'm kinda nervous it might be months like some people on this forum

Yeah I don’t know. She literally said they have no two bedrooms available but they were prepared to offer me a one bedroom today. I’m confused why some people are being told the opposite. Is it possible that they have separate inventories for 2018 and 2021 lists?

Applied in 2018. Got an email late April this year for processing. Submitted all my documents and waited about a month to call the office. Finally reached my case worker and was told everything looked good and to just wait. She called me last week saying I qualified for a two bedroom if I want so I said yes and was told to expect an offer this week. Just spoke to her again today and she somewhat discouraged me from going for a two bedroom saying there are none available and there’s a chance I might not get one. I don’t know why she asked in the first place but here I am now expecting an offer for a one bedroom.
