Well the temps here have dropped about 20 degrees, it's a little breezy out there, so I have dinner envy... again!

Busy today and not home early enough to cook anything, but I just finished Honey Nut Cheerios and a banana, it hit the spot, it was good but something hot would have been better. What a crybaby, eh?

Es gezunterheyt kids!

Its raining, not in the mood to cook which is unusual for moi.....thinking to make a casserole dish with ground meat.lots of onion/garlic,thyme,oregano,black pepper, tomatoes and a layer of egg noodles on top with bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese. With it an iceberg salad in dill/yogurt/lemon sauce. To drink lemon water. For dessert a fruit of our choice.
I always have every day handy a pot of lentil soup or vegetable curry for the non meat eaters in our home with fresh chapatis ,yogurt and lassi.

Something creamy and soothing sounds good. Maybe tuna casserole.

Working with leftovers for tonight's dinner. I am taking what is leftover from last night's roast beef dinner and some corn leftover from Sunday and I will make a Shepherd's Pie out of them. I think we will have apple pie for dessert, it seems like a good day for baking.

Bridge day, which means lunch away from home so dinner will be a bit on the light side: I am making chicken taco salad. For spoiled brat I will add a couple of warm tortillas with a little melted cheese.

I must redeem myself for yesterday. I'm making Carb Lovers Fantasy today!

I just mowed down my huge end-of-summer basil plants and will make a big batch of walnut pesto sauce with it. Dinner will be pesto with:

Crusty bread (I got Artisan Bread in 5 minutes a day for my birthday)
Mini-farfalle and grape tomatoes

I SUPPOSE I'll make a pork chop for DH too..

I look forward to one of the first honey crisp apples of the season with sharp cheddar for dessert.
