My beloved Mom always loved her 'lemon & hot water'.
Get a Navy Watch Cap to keep your ears warm in the cold windy Aridzona winters. I've been there several winters. The cold wind can slice right through you. Around Bullhead City & Fort Mohave, winter night could get down to 29 degrees,

This morning what I thought was a dog, and it's possible it was, walked right in front of my car. It was dawn so still pretty early and I was more surprised than anything.

I'm going to have to Google what coyotes look like because I've never seen one up close. I always thought they had longer snouts, which is why I'm not sure what this was. I also thought coyotes were more stealth.
I do know there are a lot of dogs around here so it's possible one got away from it's home.

I looked them up and I think the one this morning was a dog. Whatever it was, it certainly wasn't scared of vehicles because there are plenty of them around here.

A coyote can look somewhat similar to several breeds of pet dogs. BE CAREFUL They have gotten braver around humans, partly because of the carnage they have gotten away with, which they have done to human pets, fowl, etc looking for food. They used to be more afraid of humans, years ago. Not so much, Now.

Some dogs that used to belong to a human may have got lost, or left in the wilderness by a human. They can turn WILD, & many times become part of a Pack of dogs. IMHO, when one hangs out/ lives next door to the wilderness, it's a wise decision to have a shotgun or handgun, & plenty of Ammo. Be around other friends that you trust. Some humans shouldn't be trusted. Three of my pals are a Rottie/ Lab mix, & two German Shepherds.
They can be Trusted.
Maybe, later on you will have room for a good dog Pal.

I've read about wild dog packs. Yes, I am careful. In fact, I'm thinking of moving closer to the Meet in Q group. I'm not far from them and actually, I'm in a pretty good spot. I'm close to where the Sunday Church services are held.

I can't remember if there's is a bathroom close by the Meet in Q group, I'll have to check again. But there are mostly RV's there and even though there are quite a few by where I am, there's also car and van campers. I feel comfortable here and am very close to the bathroom, which is why I pay the fee to stay here.
I'm also right by a large cactus and quite a few bushes. It's comfortable.

My brother is a huge scout supporter and was a leader for years. He gave me a scout whistle which I keep withy keys on a lanyard around my neck.

meo, I have a funny tale about the whistle. Back in the 70s, a cousin of mine was going to Washington, D.C. to work for a newly elected Congressman. She stopped in to visit with us on her way up. My mother was worried about her alone in Washington and got her a whistle to hang around her neck in case she was "attacked" as my mother always said. My cousin, always teasing with my mother, thanked her and said if she was ever "attacked", she'd ask the attacker if he could wait a minute while she found her whistle hanging around her neck. Said she was sure he'd understand. lol

That is delightfully humorous.

I figure if the boy scouts use it for emergencies, it's gotta be good. It's pretty loud.

I carry a Marine Boat Horn in my Jeep, & 1 in my home. They are LOUD.
They would startle anyone. Enough to give you a couple seconds EDGE/ Advantage, against 2 or 4-legged predator.
