The real shame is that you think the contradictory and inconsistent Bible is the word of God INSTEAD of our Lord Jesus Christ, the ONLY TRUE Word of God incarnate who revealed who God truly IS on the Cross. Your reliance on our ignorant primitive ancestors' beliefs about God as wrathful and vengeful and needing blood sacrifices to forgive us for "whatever," is a grievous error. Your refusal to TEST the spirit of what is claimed in the Bible against God's Holy Spirit of agape love as revealed by Jesus on the Cross will not serve you well in the next life.

Why do you rely on your own fickle heart over that which God has spoken?

I still say he doesn't believe Christ had to give His life to deliver us from our sin and bring us back into relationship with the Father! In fact, I know he doesn't believe it!

Why do you rely on your lies about me and my views despite the fact that you have been told numerous times where my views come from - Jesus Christ, Himself as described in your Bible - NOT my own heart!!!! But you fundies definitely need to worry about your hearts because they are far from Jesus and His Holy Spirit of agape love.

That is why Jesus had to undergo scourging and crucifixion to demonstrate our ignorance of God and our savagery.
We were selfish, primitive, savage, and barbaric with no agape love at all for anyone but ourselves at any time. Jesus showed us the error of our ways. You will not admit it was for our sin, you will not admit it was payment for our sins, you will not admit God demanded it, you will not admit that Blood is the atonement for sin as the scripture says!

It should read "What about the Cross, Mystic, why did Isaiah say that He was wounded BECAUSE OF our transgression, and we are healed by the emotions (agape love) evoked by His enduring BRUTAL AND SAVAGE TREATMENT WITH THE AGAPE LOVE OF GOD.

In essence you put yourself on a level higher than Jesus and subject him to you.
He didn't attack God's Word. He is saying that The Word is not just letters printed on a page. Christ Himself is The Word - - the Logos which is the rational ordering principle of the universe. Sacred literature is given to us through fallible men, often arising from a distant time and place which makes it very hard for us to understand it.
The Word of the Johannine gospel is unchanging, eternal, utterly reliable and ultimately abstract. It is not the reading and interpreting of printed words.
