2 things. Vice and facts are like oil and water. It's not Chris Garret who was running down that street, it was not a British accent. I had a friend who was from North East Pennsyvania, Allentown Pa. A stones throw from New Jersey along the turnpike. He had a very similar, almost the same accent. It's a regional accent and it's very distinct to the trained ear. You're dead wrong.
Garrets a Mercenary, the guy in the video is also a merc but from America. Read the article you posted, they're mercenaries. Adrenalin junkies looking for their high and adding to their resumes. No loyalty, no morals, no character. It shows you the depth to which the Ukies sunk in the pathetic fight they started. No wonder they got their asses handed to them at every turn. The Novorussians had something to fight for, the Ukies only cared about what they could get.
The rocket attack on January 25 2015 was done by DNR forces. The dummy's either got the wrong information or someone failed their orienteering in school. While it's still up for debate it's commonly acknowledged the GRAD crew screwed up when laying their line of fire and were supposed to hit far north of the market. Maybe the layer was hung over. It was not the Ukrainians or Russians. As far as I know the battery commander (who is ultimately responsible) was demoted for it but I don't know about the guys who actually let loose.
It was directly fired into the city out of anger when the Russian/DNR forces realize they are failing on their attempt to retake Mariupol. Zakharchenko announced the offensive saying they would go all the way to the border of Donetsk. Instead they lost to those pathetic ukies and thus the Russian news presented the Ukrainian defenders as NATO soldiers.
You were saying it wasn't locals that liberated Mariupol. Your proof that it was Americans was showing a clip of a British volunteer responding to a Russian rocket attack 7 months after the liberation. I don't have to counter your unsupported claim.
If you want to pretend that Ukraine retook RUssian held territory, launched rockets at its own side and then snuck back to its side, then that's your problem.
I don't have to ask anybody about that, I saw those videos 3 years ago. What are you hoping they prove? First one has Russian speaking Ukrainians (you know, those ones Putin pretends are on his side) fighting Russians in Mariupol. That Ukrainian speaking English to the camerman is what... proof the camerman is foreign? Could it be that European or American camerman was filming this? And so what? I should go back to my source and ask how Russian propaganda presents this? I don't really care tbh.
The second video, umm that is a poor attempt at pretending that guy is an American Special Forces. 1st of all, they don't look like that, 2nd they don't wear those uniforms. But hey, I know it doesn't take much to fool Russians into thinking they are fighting fascists and Americans but in reality, they are killing and being killed by Russian speaking Ukrainians who don't want Russians there.
Oh don't get hysterical fer Christ's sake.
That's not "Russian propaganda" that you are so obsessed with, it's just Youtube videos; one of them not even Russian.
You act like you and your "contacts" have some exclusive rights on "reality" of what's going on in Ukraine, and who wants what. But there are plenty of other Eastern Ukrainians out there, who state totally different opinion; they don't want either Ukrainian nationalists, or Americans on their land; they want Russians, Putin or not. The sheer numbers of Eastern Ukrainians that preferred to move to Russia ( vs "free and democratic Ukraine") from the beginning of a conflict are very telling.
So that's number one.
Number two - I didn't look into Mariupol's direction, since I saw that infamous footage of Ukrainian army rushing in there, acting like occupying force and killing by-standers.
So no, I don't exactly know what's going on there from that point on, however when you mentioned that Tzarev thinks that Mariupol was retaken by Americans- that surprised me.
Usually Tzarev is well-informed ( it looks like he has *insider's information* be that East or West of Ukraine, ) so if he claims that Americans were involved, then most likely he knows something we don't.
But that's why I recalled those old videos, particularly the last one, since back in the day there were questions what this particular insignia (on the sleeve of a fighter) meant. I guess they've figured it out by now?
I wish I could ask Tzarev directly what's that he knows about it..
May be one day I will.
Misha is doing a good job harnessing people's anger at the lack of reform. There is definitely some truth to the idea that the new guard isn't much different than the old guard. The question is, are they deliberately trying to pretend they are moving towards a European style of government while retaining the old corrupt ways? Or are the old guard so entrenched and mix that in with incompetence. I think its all of the above.

I agree. Yanukovich was the same way too. It seems Ukrainian politics are so corrupt it's genetic in nature, corruption IS the way things are done. Russia (while being similar) gets a better result or so it seems. I have 0 respect for the Ukrainian political establishment. Not a silly whit of it. Those people are animals, every last one of them and if I were all powerful every last one of them would be swinging from tree branches in the wind. Every. Last. One. You and others may not agree but it seems to me Putin and his people at least BELIEVE they're obligated to better their country and peoples well being. Even if they do take for themselves.
I don't trust Shakeasswilly at all.
Corruption has been part of human society from day one most likely. I wonder what mechanisms insulates common people from it's effects. I'm sure raw wealth can to some extent like here in America but now that tremendous wealth is not being spread around like it used to be and our corrupt system is beginning to affect us in an adverse manner.
I also wonder just what is happening to common people in the Ukraine too. I haven't had time to really dig deep on it. They aren't revolting and I'm sure they would be if their kids were going hungry. I recently read 2 million Ukrainians are working in Poland and even more throughout the EU and this is from a Polish publication.
Does anyone have anything on CURRENT living conditions in the Ukraine?
