That chart is way off. I had a family member fly into Odessa last month and the meal at McDonalds was about $1 per person.
Taxi downtown from the airport was $7. I have to think that inflation will bring their prices up but for now its crazy cheap at the current exchange rate. Gorgeous new airport there btw, really shocking compared to the last time I flew out of Odessa
I've only been to Odessa once. It was for a pretty silly reason too. The Dutch lost a container with all the parts and my tools for Some Moscow Metro locomotives. It went from Seatlle to Antwerp and was supposed to go to Moscow by rail. Nope. It went to Odessa by ship. I got to take a ride with a guy from Moscow to Odessa and back in a Volvo truck. It was June 2000 and it was a great ride. The driver was named Alex and I learned all my bad langiage from him as he drove.
Which brings me to this dubious honor. Russians and Ukrainians have to be the worst drivers in the world. There's no doubt. Italians are close behind. I've always said Russians are Italins on ice.

That's why dem communists had all the right ideas, insisting on development of the public transportation))))
They wanted Russians to sit and read in metro on their way to work, instead of driving there.
The chances that Russians would arrive to their work places in one piece, were much higher in this case)))
"President Poroshenko appears to have abandoned the fight against corruption, any ambition for economic growth, EU or IMF funding," economist Anders Aslund, who has long been optimistic about Ukrainian reforms, tweeted recently.
Poroshenko, however, would have gotten nowhere -- and wouldn't be defending Ukraine's opaque, corrupt, backward political system today -- without Western support.
Poroshenko is not very popular with anyone. His approval rating is very low. Being pro-Ukrainian has absolutely nothing to do countenancing Poroshenko.

Correct. I just wonder if those seeking power really have good intentions at all. An American candidate will promise the world to get a vote then deliver nothing at all.
He wasn't a force behind the revolution, he sort of latched on (much like Yats). I think he thought he just needed to change a few things instead of reboot the whole system. The jury is still out on that guy... Plenty of other people interested in the job who could do better but politics will prevent the best from making it in (see Trump for example A). Klitschko is an example of a guy with good intentions but can't do anything.

Right.
But those "pro-Ukrainian" forces keep on pounding Donbass, demanding it to submit under a man, who is not "very popular with anyone."
