Still clinging to the past aren't we. Every time I show something nice about Ukraine, a Russian has to come here and drag up something from the past to show how bad it used to be there. Yes the past association with Russia was a huge drag on everything there. Upset your little war parade was cancelled?

...and more news from Ukraine, because of the unintended consequences of the virus.

Since Ukrainian government in Kiev implemented the quarantine and refused to support its population ( because of the clear lack of funds and destroyed by "reforms" of the healthcare implemented by Americans,) the local authorities of different cities act more and more independent from the central government, both in Western and Eastern parts of Ukraine, defying the orders. They have support of the local population.

The Covid outbreak is more present in Western part of Ukraine, where the majority of cheap labor supplied for EU came from ( and returned home after the borders were closed.)
Ukrainian government in Kiev is planning to lift the quarantine on the same dates as the EU countries are opening their borders, in order to supply more cheap labor, that's in demand during agricultural season.
Their previous plans to "retain Ukrainians in Ukraine" and "to create new jobs for them" failed through, since there is no more funds to run the economy, and no economy left to speak of.

Do you ever tire of reposting Russian lies about Ukraine? I imagine the funds have dried up for this a while ago.

Russian channels have all forgotten about Ukraine lately - it's all about the coronavirus.
So I listen to Ukrainians exclusively.

Sorry if you don't like what you see.

okay, Russian funded media in Ukraine. I don't care about it, it doesn't bother me because hardly anyone believes it west of Donetsk Oblast, except some for political reasons. The incessant Russian linking of everything negative in Ukraine to its western orientation isn't convincing anyone there that they should reconsider Ukraine's future path. You can't find an apolitical person left in Ukraine under 50 who thinks Europe is bad and Russia is better. Not a single one. It's totally over and the attempts to revive it are just sad. You have your occupied zones, Ze will seal those off in the winter when this virus thing winds down and life will go on. The virus isn't helping Putin's cause there either as it attacks the age group of his remaining loyalists.

I understand this consumption of "opposition" political media helps Russians feel better about their situation. But this is just fantasy that this "opposition" in Ukraine will come to power and lead a counter reformation against the European association. It's as likely as France launching a religious crusade to the Levant. Not even remotely is such a thing possible.

No, just Youtube bloggers.
News coming directly from Ukrainian Rada from MP Dubinsky are indispensable in particular.

Yes it is, with all endless replacements and reshuffling in the key positions in current government - it's a telltale of a crisis.

I have to look up what's going on with Saakashvili, since it's a very controversial figure, and reaction to his reappearance is very variable to say the least.
