You are messaging the wrong person with this point. I have said here many times that Crimea was totally neglected under Ukraine. I have been there several times. I don't have to repeat the reasons why I said it before or why I think Crimea should stay in Russia and why its better for most everyone.

Really?
So all those *economic sanctions* imposed on Russia by US (because of Crimea) are in vain?
And all those demands for *more sanctions* coming from Ukraine.. are what exactly in this case?
( Never mind, these are purely rhetoric questions of course.)

I don't care what you said before. I'm just hoping you'll see the light. Extrapolate.
Today Kharkov was saying the last goodbye to its mayor, G. Kernes.
"He did all he could to turn our city in the most successful, well-maintained and prosperous city in Ukraine."
Not a single rep of Zelensky's government came to the funeral ( while Kharkov is the second biggest city in Ukraine after Kiev.)
Something is telling me Ze will not end up well.
Yeah, I went through it yesterday, since it was already posted on Politics forum.
What can I say?
The part about Poroshenko/Biden corruption is nothing new, it just has more details now.
The part about the cynical way the whole Ukrainian department of justice has been destroyed and replaced with inept and uneducated "yes-men" of Sorosorian ilk - that's new to me.
All these "aptitude tests" invented by American left, with their pseudo-science, would be so laughable if they were not so dangerous.
But then, again, this is the background musical theme throughout the whole Zelensky's presidency.
( And yes, Soros considers Ukraine to be one of his "most successful projects." )
You know Alec, as strange as it might sound, I am becoming one, slowly but surely.
I already expressed my opinion before about Zakhar(chenko,) Givi, Motorola - but they were simple guys, so I couldn't really relate to them.
However when it comes to Eastern Ukrainian intelligentsia - A. Sharij, Olesya Medvedeva, V. Apasov, and many others there - these are all people that I can relate to much better than to modern *Moscovites,* starting from such *opposition to Putin* as Navalny, Sobchak et al.
Eastern Ukrainians are much more genuine and Russian in their essence than the ones coming from the "Russian opposition.*
In fact I would consider living among THEM before I would consider living among my fellow *Moscovites.*
What Eastern Ukraine is going through now, ( the pain, the realization of what's right and what's wrong, the realization of what "democracy and freedom" REALLY are,) is far more genuine than what I see in "Russia proper."
So basically today's issues of Eastern Ukrainians ( that remain genuinely Russian in their culture, unlike the americanized corporate Moscovites, starting from Navalny himself,) are essential to "Russia proper" big time.
If the spiritual revival of Russia is yet to come, it's closely related to what's going on in Ukraine - the Eastern part of it.
That's why so many Russians are following *a Ukrainian* A. Sharij ( who is as sharp, perceptive and knowledgeable as it gets,) and watch closely what he is trying to accomplish in practical sense of it.
They see what's going on in Ukraine, and see the clear reflection of Russia of the 90ies - the plunder, the naivite of the general population and the rest.
So with other words - "patriotism" or not, - I DO feel for your people Alec, genuinely so.
( Otherwise I wouldn't bother to follow it all closely I guess.)
