Zelensky, Poroshenko it doesn't matter they should've recognized democracy years ago. Like I said, Biden and co wouldn't shut up about "democracy" but why aren't they supporting independence of Donbas the way they supported independence of Kosovo? Give freedom or feel the consequences, plain and simple.
It turns out that there was a warning and an offer of negotiations from the evening. Mr. Zelensky didn't bother to call. well, here's the result.
I think Russia needs a quick Ukrainian surrender of Kiev and the flight of the Ukrainian government into exile. If the Ukrainians manage to hold a line somewhere and continue to operate independently, there will be a strong incentive for the West to assist the Ukrainians in such a way as to draw out the conflict for years which Putin can't possibly want.
Russia is a diabolical, repugnant, despicable terrorist state. The West should embargo Russia, cut it off of SWIFT, seize all overseas Russian assets, and deport Russians back to Russia.

To be honest, I can see where he is coming from now so I don't blame him. Biden and his son only see Ukraine as a source for money and hide somewhere in an expensive home on the other side of the world, but can you say the same about Zelensky not to mention the poor citizens all over the country? Even Putin isn't a hero here, none of todays politicians have a vague idea of a war from first hand, unlike Churchill, Hitler or anyone in the past, so they hardly have a moral right to prolong it.
How primitive.. You disappoint me..
the whole country was starving..And yes, do you remember who did not sell grain in the USSR and who refused to issue a loan? An awkward moment, really?

It wasn't the entire country whether Ukraine or the larger USSR, but it certainly was awful and awfully managed.
