The FIFA world cup was something that Putin and the Russian people highly anticipated. But since you don't wanna be part of the west...anymore...then no WC either.
Well, I look at this whole bloody mess in Ukraine, which was created by the USA and its lackeys, and I want to return to the good old "Iron Curtain". Russia is a self-sufficient country and will live without that rotten West and its henchmen.

Sports has always been about politics as well. And quite frankly, I think taking the world cup from them would be better than any more serious sanctions.
The war will be long over by 2018. Ukraine is not much of a threat, Russia will finish them off quickly.
Well, at the end of the day, Ukraine was part of Russia at one point. So, let them kill their own off and the world might just be back on its regular track.
