Sure but the order isn’t an attack on your personal fitness goals, nor is it aimed at you to begin with. We all need to do our part. I’ll hit the Peloton more often. I’ll enjoy drinks at home. It’s worth it to keep this thing from further spiraling.

Ducey has definitely turned things around in his decision making the past couple weeks. He was off to an atrocious start but has started to make some correct decisions.

Maricopa County is 6th highest in the nation with the latest numbers ... yet another reason for Phoenix to be proud. On top of this comes even more stupidity in the land of fried brains: no plans to reopen St. Luke's, even after planning was in place to reopen this facility back in April. Now it's a no go, even with all the other hospitals becoming overwhelmed. See the article below:

Sort of. Why do casinos and salons need to remain open? What about stepping up mask enforcement? Seems like he stopped a little short and some dumb behaviors will continue.

I don't hate snowbirds, but Phoenix is big enough to where we shouldn't have to rely so heavily on their seasonal presence ... although, some parts of southern/western AZ are pretty dependent on them. In the Phoenix area, I think we're more concerned about hospitals being at full capacity instead of whether snowbirds will return. From an economic standpoint, unemployment is also more of a concern, and the absence of things like pro sports this year are causing a major setback. Many small businesses are hurting, and many more will be closed for good since we seem to reverting to more shutdowns which didn't work the first time!

My house in Phoenix will be empty this winter, I usually use it for 2 months, brother uses it for 2 months and my friends use it for 2 months....
Maricopa County has a significant increase in confirmed cases, as does most of the Sunbelt. In contrast, the northern regions are seeing relatively few cases. I was recently in Idaho where the temps were 30 degrees cooler on average than Phoenix with a lot more moisture. Among other things, there are absolutely no COVID 19 cases up there whatsoever. Bottom line: it SUCKS to be in AZ now, or much of the Sunbelt for that matter!

As far as masks are concerned, I agree. It's baffling how rampant the ignorance is here. Masks are uncomfortable, restrictive, and not 100% effective ... I get it. At the same time, I don't get the resistance to wearing them, especially if they're required. Having everybody wear a mask is certainly a lot more reasonable than a complete shutdown of everything.

I heard someone on the radio theorize that in hot or humid states, more people are inside versus outside. According to the theory, COVID spreads easier in less ventilated areas like closed in homes and buildings. I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes but I can imagine that it is part of the increased infections.
