If people actually wanted electric vehicles, there would be no need to ban ICE.

But people don’t want electric vehicles, so they need bans to make it happen.

If the Maga crowd had their way we would still be using leaded gasoline.

Yep. I think if the market were to dictate we'd be driving ICE cars forever. EVs would remain a niche product, with a viable use case of being a commuter car for local use. But people will still have a need to tow things or haul a family across country on road trips. Got to have an ICE or ICE/EV hybrid. So now we get bans so the government can dictate what people buy rather than let the free market decide.

Yeah, the MAGA's want dirty water & air, & they want to throw Grandma over a cliff too...those evil Pubs

Meanwhile, wealthy Dems fly all around the globe in their private fuel sucking jets (like Al Gore), between their multiple mansions, & ride around on their gas sucking yachts that get 1 mpg (like John Kerry)...but those don't count...right?

The Red versus Blue game is so much fun to play...but it doesnt stop the top 1% from fleecing the 99% now does it?

It's not business, or the market, that has decided this, government has. If government was not giving away trillions in free taxpayer money every step of the way, then electric cars would still be an expensive novelty for the well to do.

Just wait for the infringement of privacy rights when CA will mandate trackers in every vehicle. They're going to tax us per mile driven and they'll need a way to log all those miles to debit it out of your account.

Wait until the demand for these cars is much lower than manufacturers are anticipating. The EV manufacturers are going to be in a heap of trouble. There will always be significant demand for gasoline-powered vehicles.

Meh, thats not really true either.

I dont think people really care one way or another if a car is electric or gas. Ev's tend to just not have any style and come in 2 or 3 colors and the ones on the lot tend to be the premium ones because the cheapest ones were bought on day one. And yes, there is still a charging problem
