I am greatly saddened to hear of Curm's passing. I know where he lived, but not his name. If someone would DM me the link to his obit, I would appreciate it.

May he rest in peace with his beloved Peggy, forever.

I messaged him several times over the past few months and no response so I really did wonder if something had happened to him. Other times when he 'disappeared' I messaged him and he always replied. I was hoping I was wrong but I guess not. Makes me really sad. What makes me saddest is remembering his 'predictions' about when he would die, based on his genetics. It's like a self fulfilling prophecy. There have been a few disappear over time and I wonder about them too.

Here it is. Very sparse, I tried other sites that I searched for and the got same. Scroll down past the garbage ads to read the whole, short obit. Makes me wonder just how he passed away........

I had the same results. I thought his obituary might be in the Sacramento Bee as he'd been a legislative analyst here for much of his career. No obituary was there. I hope that he was spared suffering at the end and went softly into that good night.

I apologize if some of my posts here and elsewhere on C-D are a bit rambling lately, I am a bit sleep deprived. We picked up our new puppy last weekend. She needs to go outside at midnight, two and four in the morning and throughout the day. And kept busy and worn out for her naps or else pay the price of puppy boredom. I don’t need to worry about becoming too sedentary!

She has learned to come and sit already, if leaves, sticks and anything moving doesn’t distract her first. Putting in a lot more work with a puppy in the beginning will be worth it for a good girl later on.

I smile and feel all happy about having a dog again when I wake up in the morning and seriously wonder if I’ll survive it as I’m going to bed at night.

Thanks for sharing the information. He reminded me of a neighbor who, when his wife passed away he just quit eating. The way curm wrote after his wife passed, I wondered how long he would last. May be rest in peace with his bride.

Thank you Clearbrook and Lodestar. I found a picture of him on "mylife." He is just about as I imagined.

I am surprised at how sad I feel. I considered adding a message in the "remembrance" section of "cremations of the ozarks dot com", to alert his family to how appreciated he was here on CD; perhaps someone who knew him better will submit a comment there.
