I haven't seen my house yet but I'll take it. Most of neighbors were seriously resigned to losing their houses, when I left I thought I s going to come back to a floating roof so l take it.

You gotta remember these journalists are selling a media product its a given there will be some embellishments and over dramatizations , Kudos to CNN i thought they did a great job covering the storm, had they just done a casual hourly report saying weather in Florida will be windy and rainy no one would watch.

Gotta disagree. Listened to CNN this a.m. and they're scaring the rest of the country when I don't think it's warranted. Cuomo's intro to his morning show this a.m. was geared at keeping viewers tuned in. Made it sound like the state got hit pretty badly when I think the general consensus is that we've been pretty fortunate and missed "the big one".

Forecasting isn't an exact science. A shift of 25 miles in storm track has huge implications. Instead of whining that you were over prepared for the storm, perhaps you should be thinking about how you can help your fellow Floridians in the Keys or Naples area who are not as lucky as you were.
