Not getting my hopes up. Trump's swamp draining may just be the pond scum being dumped on other shores. You need to erase these people or they just show up elsewhere.
I'm surprised btw how international media doesn't report Ukraine at all. The logic of western media is obviously "unless they are dark skinned and have slanted eyes and/or long noses - we'll pretend they don't exist". Ukraine is white, Mexico isn't. The latter gets 1000 times more coverage thus.

That's because the whole "Ukraine" thing became a very inconvenient subject now, when Trump came into the office.
It's hard to find straightforward reports on military activity in Ukraine. Most of the reports in the mainstream press are so heavy-handed that they're not credible. Similar to what happened during the US elections last year, there were several major papers in the U.S. and U.K. which devoted whole articles to tell readers to avoid newspapers or web sites of Russian origin. The two systems seem to mirror each other now.
According to Brazilian police, an Italian member of an international socialist national group called Misanthropic Division was recruiting youngsters ten months ago to fight in Ukraine. They are believed to have ties with Azov Battalion, an ultra-nationalist paramilitary group aligned with Kiev.
“They offered money and military training. We confirmed that a native of Porto Alegre had been fighting in Ukraine after being recruited,” a police spokesman told the newspaper, adding that at least another five may*have joined in fighting in the war.
The Kiev Junta is trying to get attention. They've been out of the news these last few months and the new US administration is basically more concerned with other things. Porkochunko and his fellow loonies think that by making a ruckus it will get the attention of their new masters. I heard McCain was involved and was making "suggestions".
So far the Ukr army (?) and the militias have been trying to push forward but due to the DNRs dug in positions and heavily mined approaches its come at a very high price.
As reported in Huffington Post, the US-funded Radio Free Europe is also taking the stand that Ukraine is behind the provocation.

A senior member of Europe’s Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine warned, “The direct result of forward moves is escalation in tension, which often turns to violence.”
