In other news - Sharij's saga is getting more and more interesting.

Zelensky and Co don't know how to get rid of him and his party, that's growing in popularity.
They couldn't "sanction" Sharij and close his TV channel ( as they did with Medvedchuk,) because Sharij has only Youtube channel.

Zelensky was thinking about asking youtube to shut down his channel, but that's not easy, since they can't exactly accuse Sh. in "extremism" or "terrorism." ( I mean THEY CAN, but that won't work for Youtube.)
The next great idea these geniuses came up with, was to accuse Sharij in some "state treason" and to demand his extradition from EU.

So they came up with some kind of charges, which they refuse to show to Sharij ( or rather his lawyers,) but which they hope to send to EU.

Sharij has political asylum in EU as it is.

Sharij welcomes their initiative, because this way his case attracts more and more publicity in the EU, which brings his point across, what a garbage can Ukrainian "freedom and democracy" are; the Nazi rul and the rest.

So things are getting interesting.

According to her, the Ukrainian delegation presented the Vice-President and ruler of the Emirate of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, with a premium, almost exclusive Fort automatic rifle. However, the miracle of the Ukrainian defense industry turned out to be faulty.

"The Sheikh tried for a long time to attach the store to it, but could not. It just wasn't the right size. Not inserted, in short. When comrade al Maktoum tried to twist the bolt, another discovery was waiting for him: the bolt carrier did not work. Generally. It's just jammed. Dead. Disgraced again. I feel uncomfortable in front of al Maktoum, " Gavrilova wrote.
She noted that Zelensky's visit to the UAE was organized by the head of the office of the head of state Andriy Yermak, and Director of Ukroboronprom Yuriy Gusev was responsible for preparing gifts for the high host party. "As it turns out, an idiot. Professional, " Irina Gavrilova concluded.

The official visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to the United Arab Emirates was held in Dubai on February 14-15.

Fake news written by a pro Russian separatist who was fired from Radio Vesti. The Emir received a display gun, not a working gun. Nice try though, your daily jealous attacks on Ukraine (this time for signing trade deals). Poor Russia, can't stand that Ukrainian industry found better customers after Russia imposed sanctions against Ukrainian companies... This is why your Russian "news" networks are being canceled in Ukraine, for telling provocative lies.

You guys should worry more about the future of Russia under Putin...

But I still don't know whether the "Varangians" were of Swedish or Norwegian kind, so this stands)))
From what I remember there were 3 flavors of Vikings. The Norsemen, from Norway and the Netherlands basically the western Baltic and the North Sea area. Then there were the Varangian type from the North East Baltic originally but spread widely into the interior of Russia down its rivers as far as the Byzantine empire and the Black Sea with time. The there were the South East Baltic style Vikings in the area of Northern Poland and what is today the Baltic States.

They raided one another all the time, the Baltic Sea was a perpetual war zone for millennia as far as we can decipher today although who was who and did what to who for how many cookies or gold coins and iron ingots is very foggy. Lets just say they never trusted their neighbors across the water very much.

The ancestors of the Finns once asked the Swedish Vikings for protection from the Baltic Vikings who were raiding them regularly stealing all their girlfriends and fish. The biggest Swedish warlord at the time agreed and when his men went to their lands they promptly tried to kill all the men steal their girlfriends and take all their fish. Those people that survived fled inland and north and took up reindeer herding.

It's called "leave my fish alone" (if I remember correctly, Great Britain had disagreement with EU regarding fishing recently too.)

Fish is utterly important for some of us.

An interesting dispatch from Sharij today;

He thinks that Putin will not leave the closure of those three channels connected to his "relative" ( god father?) Medvedchuk.

Particularly that they went after his wife too ( I am not sure whether it matters in this case, but that's what Sharij believes. (Zelensky and Co went after his wife too by the way, opening two fake criminal cases against her. )

He is making a compelling case why it's going to happen ( so I learn a lot of new, interesting things about Litvinenko, Berezovsky, Pashinyayn) in the process.

Ukraine's IT sector had another good year in 2020. Exports (that is, IT services for companies outside of Ukraine) increased by 20% last year to over $5 billion. The sector now employs over 200,000 Ukrainians, most of them young and with the highest salaries in the country outside of specialized finance and legal jobs. The employment has been growing on average of 20,000 new jobs a year. The largest external customer is Amazon Web Services. Java, Python and PHP are the fastest growing languages used by Ukrainian software developers.

Three IT parks are in various stages of development in the country (Lviv, Kiev and Kharkov). More cities are starting their own... we'll see how the collaborative workspace evolves after the pandemic.

P.S. More details;

It's not just three opposition TV channels that Zelensky shut down - oh no.

The fool decided to "impose sanctions" on his main competitor sitting in Ukrainian Parliament - Victor Medvedchuk, whose pro-Russian "Opposition Platform" party is going up in ratings fast. ( In fact I think it's already # 1 in charts, while Zelensky's "the Servant of the people" is #4.

So Zelensky didn't find anything better than to arrest all the bank accounts/property of Medvedchuk/Opposition Platform Party claiming that he is the "Russian operative."

Putin ( now that I checked on it,) is actually a god father of Medvedchuk's daughter, so Sharij might be right after all, that Putin will not let it slide all that easy, all these latest shutdowns and property arrests imposed by Zelensky on the opposition.

Oh, that "Astra-Zeneka" that Zelensky was advertising for Ukrainians, turned out to be the Indian "Covishield," - all half million of dosages ( for 250,000 thousand people) that recently arrived to Ukraine.
70% efficiency and poor safety record. (It's for the poor countries, at $3 per dosage, but Ukrainians will be charged $17 according to THEIR contracts.)

So here O. Medvedeva explains to Ukrainians who has a chance to get Russian Sputnik V ( other than the residents of DNR and LNR, who can get in Russia with no problem.)

Medvedchuk isn't Zelensky's main political competitor. The latest polls show him leading his main competitor, Petro Poroshenko. Boiko and Julia Tymohenko round up the others who scored more than 10%. You're just making things up as usual.

Of course Russian propaganda would attack any vaccine Ukraine uses that isn't Russia's. Who with a brain is surprised by that? Hungary, with the biggest Sputnik deployment in Europe, got enough to vaccinate all 2,000 Hungarians who want it yet they still haven't used them up. Hmm, I wonder why that is. Why is Hungary using the AZ and other western vaccines instead? perhaps they don't have enough "political opposition" yelling about needing to use the Russian vaccine enough to cover 0.03% of their population?
