Hard to tell without an age breakdown. If most of the deaths are in the 80+ range, that’s one thing. It’s a whole different story if most are under 40.

As usual with these stories, the data is too limited to make an assessment.

Companies are taking a hard stand on this issue, too. With so many people filming those who choose not to or rather refuse to wear a mask, it's costing them their job. Not funny business here. This is serious. As this guy in Florida found out ....

Yeah that guy was crazy. With social media, you can’t act like that.

I agree. The guy seemed a little unhinged and the way people like to film everything nowadays, learning to keep a lid on emotions is advised. This virus isn't just taking a toll on people's health, it's affecting them emotionally, whether they realize it or not. Crazy times we're living in.

It's neither. Researchers have a better idea than most journalists and members of the public. Now that its age-related lethality is very well known, very old people are out of its way.

You always throw out these opinions as if they’re facts with nothing to back you up. It’s pretty worthless without a link.

“Very old people are out of its way”? Are they all dead or has the virus taken pity on them?

Thanks. Yeah I didn’t get it. I was just in a bakery last week and an elderly couple, maybe 80’s came in. One wearing a mask and the other not.

Costco last weekend an older guy had a bandana completely wrapped around his head and neck with his nose totally exposed.

I said "very old." 65 isn't very old. 80-somethings aren't 100% quarantined, but nursing homes are fairly safe now and not many people in that age are going around (not that there ever were), though there will be some geezers who stand out for their recklessness. I'm not going to cite probably unpublished hard data when it clearly is what it is.

Edit: I don't know about others, but when I see a very old person, I keep my distance. I don't think I'm transmitting anything, but in case I am I know I could be deadly to one of them. If that's a widespread practice, it is helping more very old people survive.

The reason for the former is the latter.
Without injury-in-fact, there's no standing to sue. Without police arresting people for gathering in the privacy of their homes, and without DAs willing to prosecute those crimes, there's no tangible damage to potential plaintiffs nor relief to be sought.

However, in the Michigan gym case, the judge did issue a decision that the ban was arbitrary since the state didn't show evidence that a gym (ordered to remain closed) is demonstrably different than other indoor businesses which were allowed to reopen. If this situation drags on indefinitely in the U.S., expect more of the same.
