I don't think it will be. You never know. It could just be the thermostat.
I have to laugh because a sweet, older man just came over and asked me if I had a place to stay. When I said I'm staying here he said, he said, 'Oh, you're homeless '. I said, no I'm traveling. Going to visit my brother '. He said, It's such a little car. Then he left.
I've heard that's the way people think but never encountered it before.
High wind. It's rocking the car. Not to worry though. At most this area may get hail.
Other parts of this country may get hurricanes but Oklahoma City is supposed to only get high winds. Glad I'm not driving in it.
The wind was really something last night. I am about an hour north of OKC. I guess you are right about OKC only getting high winds if you consider a tornado high winds. About 3 years ago in the spring I had a flat near El Reno on a sunday evening. El Reno is a little west of OKC. My car was loaded down coming back from Arizona and I did not like the idea of driving at night with the small spare. So I stayed in El Reno at a motel so I could get a new tire in the morning. Anyways all went well. The following year there was news of a tornado that hit El Reno which destroyed a motel and a trailer park behind it. I believe several people died. I realized it was the same motel I stayed in the year before. A little disturbing.
Yikes! That must have really been an eye opener for you.
Well, I'm at Firestone. They couldn't find anything in general checking so the only thing left was the thermostat. Turns out the car has two thermostats and to replace them it's $500+. I'm having it done as, from researching yesterday, it's about time anyway and it's too important.

Could be but I don't care. They worked on the car for hours and if you don't fix/get a new thermostat you run the risk of ruining/needing a new head gasket (per Scotty Kilmer). What price does a person put on peace of mind?
Stayed at another Domino place. There is a Loves here but it's not that off I-40 and I was zonked after spending from 7am to 1:30pm at the repair shop. Besides, I wanted to try their food again. It was another good, cheap meal.
They had me park in the far parking lot, which is fine. But around 10 pm a group of young adults gathered and proceeded to talk loudly until 12ish. They weren't doing anything wrong, just loud talking. I think I'll stick to Loves from here on out, unless I come across a Travel Plaza. Those were great.

Good points. You could drive around town looking for a lower price and end up blowing the engine.
