Ironicic when the Me Too movement was created by a civil rights activist Tarana Burke who is an African American woman from the Bronx. Oddly the media will not give you the full story which started as her plight and focuse on young women of color.
But yes i hope if the Weinstein cases are true he gets jail time just as Bill Cosby has along with his image being tarnished within his industry.

As people like Christine Ford come forward, these are the women who were victims and who knew powerful guys in the political establishment, and yes they are wrecking them. Still, stable homes are what is best for children. Children also do best with two married parents, if you believe the research. Fidelity to the marriage covenant is also what is best for married parents.

What isn't discussed is mass incarceration. Many African American have incarcerated fathers and for that matter mothers. African Americans use drugs at the same rates as whites, but are much more likely to be imprisoned for it.
Now if daddy or mommy or both are in prison, how do you think the kids turn out being shipped from foster home to foster home and from relative to relative?

Correct, very true and typically the media does't tend to jump to or even put a highlight on young women of color who are also subject to alleged sexual assaults, it tend s ot fall on deaf ears until someone whom they deem is a story or pertaining to a certain demographic that it causes media to emphasize possible assaults.

As the condition of many lower middle class whites deteriorates so too does the incidence of divorce and out of wedlock births. Rather than pretend as if this phenomenon among black Americans is cultural note that its increasing among Hispanics and also among lower middle and poorer whites.
Parts of the Appalachia are now like inner city ghettoes in the nature of social dysfunction. But as with drug abuse the whites will be seen as "victims" while the blacks are seen as degenerates.

Let us look at it another way. People from better economic circumstances are more likely to have stable marriages, lower divorce and less out of wedlock births. We are seeing increasing levels of pathology among the white working class as many are being pushed into lower paying jobs or are leaving the labor force. As the economic circumstances of blacks deteriorated in the late 50s with the deindustrialization of inner cities social pathologies increased among the lower income populations.

What the conservatives failed to note as that after 1960 poverty among blacks declined, educational outcomes improved and a significant black middle class emerged. The mere fact of being born out of wedlock doesn't damn one to failure. In fact many supposed out of wedlock kids live in homes with two parents, just not legally married. And others are in touch with both parents living not unlike kids from a divorce minus the baggage and rage.

And now fewer than 50% of working class whites are getting married. Given that most will probably have kids, and the divorce rate is also increasing this means that an increasing % of white working class kids will grow up WITHOUT living in a home with both parents.
So apparently the issues of the black population was the canary in the coal mine. Turns out that it wasn't a specific cultural "defect" of black culture after all. But a reaction to a declining economic situation.
