Are you familiar with this area? What about the elementary schools? Which ones would you suggest? Also what is the nearest airport to Stroudsburg? Any ohter reccomendations would be greatly appreciated!
Sincerely,

nearest airport---Lehigh Valley International Airport or NEWARK and Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport.

WoW off of Broad Street. Ok, well I guess thats Stroudsburg S.D. don't know much about it, but Arlington elementary has great teachers--I know 1 personally-LOL Thats a pretty busy area--possibly noisy--thats "the city" for us LOL .Gets busy on weekends--stand still traffic at times. since this is a RushMove...I would rent for awhile then buy, just in case you don't like that exact area.

Lightbulb Great thread in Pocono Record for those thinking of moving...

Hi,

I HIGHLY recommend reading through this recent thread (people are still posting to it) for more info about moving to the Poconos...

Pocono Record News

Here is the article that the thread is about, but I think the thread says a lot more...

Through the roof: Monroe foreclosures reach all-time high in 2007 - poconorecord.com - The Pocono Record

I also highly recommend reading other threads on their Web site and also subscribing to the Pocono Record's daily email news briefs... it will help you get a MUCH better idea of the area...

Have a great day everyone!!!

Wow, I stumbled into quite a discussion. Wish I'd found this a couple years ago when searching for a home in NEPA. MollyMe is the forum's answer to Ann Landers ;-)

Poconos are neat in that they're so many different places for every individual's personal likes. Desiring a vacation home, we looked at established communities with some activities for the kids. After looking at several nice ones we finally settled on Lake Naomi/Timber Trails. (No ATVs or Snowmobiles which was tough for me to swallow but wife won out. . . .) Seem to be in the minority who saw some benefit to the gated aspects -- perhaps because our house is vacant so much of the year. We love the home and area through all four seasons and read that there is snow already on Big Boulder! Here's to a great winter of skiing. . . .

Enjoy reading all about the various communities and cities. Any specific questions wrt LNTT I love to try and help.

Obligatory question for the answer woman is what does she see the impact of Pocono casinos on the NEPA?
