WOW ! ! ! Getting to meet fellow members of this site ! Feel so close to ya'll, it is one reason I let go the computer in my home. After my DH moved to Heaven, each of you were a comfort to me. Did not want to leave home.

DH---He told me not to say Ya'll, I am not from the South, though paternal great-grandparents from North Carolina And
he was going to start a Round Tuit Club only he never got Round Tuit ! LOL So! Now that he's moved to Heaven, I can say Ya'll anytime I want Ya'll !

Enjoy your days and I too miss my Pop, he's conducting, playing his cornet in Heaven, where he moved 24 years ago.

At 9pm tonight it's 92 degrees with a howling hot desert wind. Everything I watered 2 hours ago is dry and wilted. At least its down to 82 inside with my air on full blast.

Only 105 days to October!

Thank you for the positive words. In return, I agree completely: The lunch was delightful because you, too, are a "fascinating fellow", having had interesting and varied life experiences.

103 degrees out and with my window air conditioner it's a nice cool 86 inside. Oh how I hate this miserable place! Ready for October.

Rained here every day, sometimes very hard with some thunder and lightening. The past few days were awful because of the high humidity. But today is very pleasant.

I'm very lucky as I have central air in my apartment.

I am going to put my window AC in my bedroom window, which cannot be seen by the HOA (not allowed). I hope it will cool one or two rooms and I can close off the rest of the house. Might help keep the AC cost down, maybe.

We have been pleasantly cool here. Even had to use a sweater in the morning. But, it's only June. We don't get hot until July or August.

I think that's why we 'forget' the awful winters we have.

Funny; I think of that as the upside.

Newly relocated to NW AR, it's been as pleasant a summer as we've ever spent. We've run the AC (set on 78) awhile on many days but few nights so far. Mornings have been gorgeous. We suspect it's an abnormally mild spring/summer but we'll take it. Have only needed to water the tomatoes about once a week. Loving the fireflies. Life is good.

I envy you, I moved here from Fayetteville and sure miss it there. The people were so friendly, and the area just beautiful.
