My other dog, also hers she left, seems lost. He wanders from room to room and just lays down with his head on his paws.

Last night I was laying on the sofa and he came over layed down and put his head on my leg and looked at me. I could swear he was crying. I sure was.

For being a big tough "heartless" sob...I'm not dealing with this well at all.

Jim (in case it helps at all to have this in mind), how sad you and your other dog are now speaks volumes about what a great home you've provided for these dogs. Anyone who is missed this much knew they belonged and were cared for, so you made--and with your other dog, are still making--a difference.

I wondered about your other dog - I think they suffer more than we do. My old girl stopped eating for 1 1/2 weeks after my pooch passed.

Give your remaining dog lots of love now.

We had some bad t-storms come through Thursday afternoon/evening and early Friday morning. Some torrential rain and scattered trees down in the area. No need to worry about watering the flowers for a while.

The weather is bright and warm here in Arizona; it would be nice to have some rain. This time of the year is typically the longest dry spell without rain. Fires are always a worry at this time of year.

My thoughts today are wondering/worrying about the "kids" as both may be facing moves this year. It can get complicated. I am not complaining -- just saying life can be interesting. Within the last 15 hours, I have receive some surprising news!

Jim, on your PuP, yes, they are extremely sensitive and also have deep emotions. Love and cuddles will help now.

I hope everyone is having a pleasant day -- mood-wise if not weather-wise!

I can't believe how long those people in Puerto Rico have been without electricity/water. And they are saying it will take another 2 or 3 months!!! And of course hurricane season is here.

I have to say I am ashamed at our government and how it has ignored those people.

No, this is not a political rant, let's not try to turn it into one.

More of an "I care" rant. You are not alone in your sentiments.

I totally agree. It is hard to imagine what it has been like living on the island. And if it should get hit by another hurricane come August or September . . . . . . .
