The lull it's only temporary...a slight reduction in pressure from the US as an "encouragement" before the summit to see if Putin can be pried apart from the China alliance (it will not happen).
Russia is already preparing for the worse, they have no expectation whatsoever for this summit.
Russia is preparing foe even more pressure from the west. Updating and reinforcing its military in the north west district with what could be up to 20 brigades. Also since Ukraine refuses to deal with Novorussia in the not to distant future Russia is going to recognize their statehood and possibly take them in.
Russia and China are very powerful together. It is in neithers interests to be adversaries. They know that.
Apart from Odessa there seem to not be that many resort towns and resorts on Ukraine's Black Sea coast.
Why is that? Most towns along the coast seem frozen in time with only a few small bed and breakfasts: https://www.google.com/maps/@46.6121...7i10000!8i5000
It is a long coast so many areas used for beach activities seem under developed but you haven't looked at the right places. Odessa and its region ARE the big thing for beach resorts but there are other areas used, some get a lot of visitors (mostly Ukrainians, Polish, Belarusians, Baltics and Moldovans, in that order):

There are more, including in the Odessa region outside of Odessa itself. No big high rise kind of places though, other than Odessa.
A place like Zagreny Port is special. Reasonable prices and great local atmosphere. Homey. The moms family always went to Anapa or somewhere on the Azov shore for vacations. I personally despise over developed resorts and the like. Good info DKM.

Zelensky is going bezerk lately, now that he learned about the completion of the NS 2.
He demanded the weapons supply from Germans, condemned Americans for refusing to put a stop on NS2 project - I mean he knows that his regime is in trouble, so he is pushing for the nationalistic agenda as much as he can; this is the only salvation in his mind.
Recently he set the Nazi free ( the one who was convicted to 7 years in jail by the kangaroo court in Kiev, for the kidnapping and torture of the public official. Turned out - the official belonged to the "wrong, pro-Russian party," and thus it was not a crime.) Not to mention yet another "wrong kind of person" that he stubbed to death while broadcasting his murder on Youtube few years prior to it.
Remember - they were demanding his release, sending message to Zelensky couple of months ago?
So yes, now he is set free.
Stuff that you won't see on Western news.
It's all about the "buildup of Russian troops on Ukrainian border," and not a word about the crazies in Ukraine.
Sternenko ( the nazi in question) is the former leader of the local chapter of the "Right sector" in Odessa, ( the city that Nazi are so weary about.)
So in this footage you can see him pushing his speeches in the court, while the judge is pronouncing his verdict.
Then you hear the youth, stating how "unfair the verdict was," and the rest of craziness that's going on in Ukraine.
So yes, they've set him free, to keep the Nazi content ( I am sure this was Zelensky's personal order, since now they are under his personal command, according to what Sharij is saying. ( I do believe him.))
Am listening to Shaij's latest interview to the Russian TV, where among other things they asked him whether it's true that "Lithuania deprived him of the residence permit," ( which the Ukrainian media is trying to pass for the equivalent of the political asylum that Sharij has in the EU.)
Sharij; "No, it has got nothing with my status - I am a legal resident of the EU and pay my taxes here. But I am just waiting for Lithuania to make their case against me official.
They are constantly trying to come up with the information that I am "working against the Lithuanian state," that I am "representing a danger to their security," although I am not interested in their country in a slightest, I never even talked about them.
Overall I didn't like to be there, I don't like the country that puts the "special relations with Ukraine" above Geneva convention and other international agreements. They passed my address there to Ukraine; it was all over the Ukrainian media. The woman, from whom I rented the apartment in Lithuania was murdered with particular brutality after I already left- she was stubbed more than 20 times. You can consider it a *coincidence* if you wish.
There are different countries in EU of course - there is "New Europe" and "Old Europe," and I prefer to live in the old one, no doubt."
