Germany's Greens is campaigning to halt Nordstream 2 from ever starting. They want to instead somehow replace the Russian powered coal plants with renewables in the next few years. I don't know how realistic it all is, but it is clear why Russia hates their guts and will say anything bad about them they can.

I can speculate that their plans to take power are likely not to happen since

a) that is a very expensive idea and
b) they were probably more popular like every opposition party was in the spring as the virus raged.

Now the virus is getting under control, so the opposition to the people in charge of the government are losing ground at the moment. Am I still talking about Germany or now is it Ukraine? Well both...

Targeted by whom? The Ukronazis? In case you haven't heard the long range artillery of Ukraine is barely functioning. Their most common gun is the M30 122mm. In good condition it has a maximum range of just over 7 miles. The barrel of those guns wears every time you shoot a round. About 300 rounds and you need to change the barrel or sleeve because it becomes inaccurate and the effective range decreases. it's a big part of the reason Ukronazi artillery is so poor in performance. If your gun is worn out and you've had to much to drink then you're more hazard than a help.

152mm? The situation is even worse there.

There's not enough missilery either. Maybe a few rabbits in a field will get killed but Russian gear isn't sitting in fields. it's in gullies and small valleys, buildings.

Your Ukronazi buddies aren't reaching out and touching anybody.

Europe isn't going to give up Russian gas. Russia can even manufacture LNG cheaper in the arctic due to the lower temps than they can in Texas. It's half the work/energy to to liquify it so it's at a lot less cost.

Russia doesn't want to stop shipping gas through Ukrainian pipelines. The demand for Russian gas is only going to increase over time but if the rabid creatures in Ukraine keep up their insanity then they might not have any choice. The crazies can't steal the gas anymore, they can't blackmail the countries downstream because they can just get gas another way.

Your insane lunatics in Kiev need to be put down in the worst way. They're destroying Ukraine.

Your response is meaningless. Ignorance is no excuse. NS2's primary purpose is to supply new German gas electric generation plants, to replace the coal ones supplied by Russian coal. That's why it should actually not be viewed as such a big deal. Currently there is no increased demand for Russian gas outside of this purpose. Heiko Mass reiterated they will not allow Russia to use NS2 to bypass Ukraine but this is no guarantee that Ukraine will be used to pump gas for much longer as European gas demand declines.

Meanwhile in actual (boring) news in Ukraine:

2 Ukrainian airlines are expanding airport slots in 12 cities across Ukraine.

Interpipe scored another 3 year deal for railway wheels for export.

Zaporozhiya's car plant is back in operation building buses and cars for Skoda. It's not much, 8 or 9 buses and around 400+ or so cars a month but its better than nothing.

Steel and pipe production is up double digits.

Metinvest is spending $1billion in a major plant expansion at their mariupol plant.

I only hear about what's going on in SE Ukraine. Probably other things happening elsewhere.

Yes, such a low demand for gas in Europe that prices on the stock exchange are just record, as if it is not June but January.
Well, yes, no one needs this gas
Solar turbines and wind panels will save the world! ))))))

Yes, yes, I also heard that the assembly of cars has begun.
VAZ cars are assembled from machine kits.

As for steel, yes, they would be complete idiots if they did not take advantage of the rise in price of metal on the stock exchanges, and at times.

And the rest of the news is so-so. The level of production in Ukraine has not even returned to the level of 2016.

Demand returning from the pandemic does not equal demand growth in the next 10 years.

They are building Skoda, not VAZ. And the ZAZ a08 bus. Nothing special, rather basic.

The rest of the news is indeed so-so. I think you meant 2014 because 2016 has been long ago surpassed even with the pandemic.

Recent report on the troops in Eastern Ukraine from the deputy commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donbass, Major General Vladimir Kidan.

Not pretty. The document is in Ukrainian language.

https://southfront.org/ukraines-arme...-survey-shows/

Quote:
The key identified problems in the Ukrainian Armed Forces are:

Low professionalism and lack of desire to improve their professional skills.
Lack of moral and psychological readiness to participate in hostilities.
Negative attitude of relatives and the environment to the service of the military in the JFO zone.

The results are as follows:

84% do not feel responsible for the result of hostilities.
80% are not ready to carry out real combat missions
72% rate their readiness to participate in armed conflicts as low.
64% regularly use alcohol or drugs.
63% are unsure of their fellow servicemen
53% got tired of a long stay in the JFO zone
38% report a negative assessment of their service among the civilian population
37% do not consider service in the Armed Forces to be a prestigious service
37% note that the personnel aren’t sufficiently supplied
25% consider the level of combat training low
7% note the lack of authority among higher-ranking commanders

The most acute problems are the following three:

Unauthorized abandonment of a unit (deserting, essentially)
Drinking alcohol
Non-statutory relations between military personnel.
This is not a fighting force that will stand up to a high wind, let alone the Russian army. I remember that Russian reporter (Simon Ostrov?) on VICE going INTO Mariupol in the fall of 2014 just before the DNRs attack was called off in the fall of 2014. The mere rumor of DNR forces getting close to the edge of the city had Azov Battalion skittering to the west so fast they almost ran him over.

Just heard a drunk Ukronazi one Sgt Kolupaev, killed one of his fellow soldiers with a machine gun and wounded another then promptly left for parts unknown. This happened east of Mariupol.

Really DKM?
