To be honest, Russians are asking for their own fruits/vegetables to be grown.
Their own produce tastes very, very good when fresh and they know it.
Yes. I hear that. Khazakhs are frantic too, the farmers there see this as an opportunity they're not prepared for. You can bet come spring there will be changes. My friend in Belgorod is going to expand his chicken ranch by 30% next year.

In my travels I found that the quality of food there seems to be much better. Tomatoes and carrots that actually smell like tomatoes and carrots. I once got lunch at the cafe in Smolensk train station. I ordered chicken legs and potatoes and I have never seen chicken legs that big in a US market. They were the size of small turkey legs and tasted a lot better.
I also noticed I would eat everything in sight for the first 2 or 3 days of a trip then slow down. My line of work sometimes gets very physical and here I seem to be always hungry during the work day, over there I didn't need to eat as much after a couple of days of eating the local foods. I was also hopelessly addicted to the watermelon aрбуз сок.

Anyway. From the BBC of all sources. I wonder if the guy still has his job.

BBC News - How can the West solve its Ukraine problem?

All this is about is exploitation of the resources, land and people of Ukraine. Anybody who knows the history of Mexico and what happened there for the last 500 years. Colonial interests taking advantage of a country, draining it of wealth and economically enslaving the people. Taking all while investing nothing in the people.

I think we'll have a chance to see it happen step by step.
There's a reason why they killed China's investment in Ukraine. Soros and other bankers are eyeing buying up farmland in the Ukraine.

You need to look at the dates of the pictures. It seems that now the light switched off throughout Ukraine. Although, my picture is also not dated, it is most likely a fake.

Tennis match I guess continues...

Ukraine has voted for 'closer' ties towards NATO and doing the things towards membership. Looks like th policy of 'non-alignment' is dead....ball in Putin's court!

1938 all over again. Putin and his people need to realize that the only thing the west respects is the fist. I think further conflict is inevitable considering the weakness Russia has shown up to this point.
